Thanks Ryan. Good luck with your project. Yeah can’t wait!

YUP

Thanks! Really humbling to hear that. Feel free to email me with questions whenever. Good luck with the suspension.

So I have finalized the setup. The turbo is a GT2871R. I will be using a .48A/R 4 Bolt T3 housing.Waiting on my manifold/downpipe/recirc from Go-Autoworks . A few items that I forgot to post:

New Exhaust bolts, studs

Spent a long time cleaning, wire brushing, rust treating, refurbishing the tank

new straps, seals

Started an experiment with my aluminum charge pipe

wetsand charge pipe?

Brushed aluminim look FTW

Yeah the charge pipe was an ebay CAI. It was getting scratched and dinged up so i decided to try sanding through the plating to the bare aluminum and polishing it. The test areas look good so far. Gonna try it out and I’ll just buy a new one if I change my mind.

The tank is ready to go back in and I have most of what I need to get the car up and running and back to the dyno. Right now, I’m still waiting on my order from Go-Autoworks before I can do anything else. :excite:

Finally got my order today! Wow, I could not be more impressed with the look, quality and detail that went into the fabrication of these parts. Thank you Greg!

Got some other good news as well. For those who don’t know, I work on this car a few times a month at an off site garage. I am happy to report that I am closing on a house on May 31st. Amongst other things, I will be moving the DA to my new 2 car garage. Can’t wait!

Congrats bro. A dream come true I’m sure.

Thanks Kevin! How’s your car doing? Will I see you out this summer? Also, check out Mike’s FB page, he was at DSG tuning the ITB’s yesterday.

I’ll keep the updates coming. I’m moving in June 1st. Planning to do a lot of work on the car and head to the dyno sometime in June.

Build looks good so far bud!
I know that feeling of home ownership too. I bought a house in November, and LOVE LOVE LOVE doing all my car work in MY OWN GARAGE!

Nothing like opening up the garage door on a nice day, cracking a cold beer, and wrenching with some tunes on.

Congratulations Jon, Im not sure what your going too enjoy more. your new house or those shinny new parts

Nice, congrats on your house. That sounds like a perfect day to me! I can’t wait.

Thanks Gynn! Yes looking forward to both.

I will have some updates and pics up this weekend. Got myself all moved in and finally got my garage setup! I also picked up a daily: 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback.

I got word yesterday that my car was chosen to show at Wekfest East in August

Wow! Just amazing! I seriously love it…

As they should. they picked a beautiful specimen to represent us G2’ers

Thanks! I checked out your thread, posted about the progress. Coming along great man!

A pic of the manifold.

Subie

I still have tons of work to do on the new garage, but at least I finally got it setup. Making some progress on getting the car back together…

Awesome! I’m hoping early next year to go boost. Is that turbo manifold AC compatible? It kinda of looks like it. Also that dump tube looks very close to the rad. Are you going with a half size rad?

Yes, the manifold can be ordered to be both AC and PS compatible. It looks a little close in the pics but there is plenty of room, no issues running a full. Got the car started and running this past weekend!

Wow… Such a great build! Great progress as well! Keep it up. :corn:
