I hadn’t planned on getting an alignment anytime soon, but if I can find some time, I may do it just for the sake of this thread. I didn’t get a printout of my last one, so I can’t say anything except my caster was in spec.
I will say that phatcar’s setup differs in two key ways from mine - his car is lower, and he has less camber. I’m running -2 degrees in the front. Both of those changes mean that my upper ball joints really didn’t have to move a whole lot from stock… with stock control arms, I’d probably be about -3 degrees at my height. From the sound of things, phatcar is using the adjustability way more than I am.
and that would fall in line with the photos posted earlier.
ah, data gathering. takes me back to keesler. :giggle:
BTW, I’m not sure if Parki told you, but my VTEC works now. I’m telling everyone. Motor went from being fantastic to a complete beast… I’ve never had a car so eager to hit 120. (Then I get scared.)
Did he spray? I think I could hang with the LS1 as long as he wasn’t spraying, from a roll at least. If he wants to get mean, I could throw my bottle back in too… I did build this hunk for nitrous after all. Stupid me.
But that thing on the juice feels silly-fast. He needs to hurry up and finish whatever he needs to finish and get it to the strip. I’m sure he’d be low 11s by this point.
Any more news regarding these SK2 Arms.
whats the verdict.
Are these arms just EF ones being sold to us?
Need a camber kit and I want the best one possible.
Cheers

All of the news was posted. I know, it is hard to find it all with so much of Armed Ferret’s bullshit in here, but all of the relevant info is on pages 6 and 7. Skunk2 actually admitted that they were designed for the EF and say that they are designing a new kit for the DA that should be out late this year or early next year. They even took my used kit back.
Did Skunk2 release a new/revised version of their camber kit for the DA yet? One member on here mentioned that he already has it installed on his car. I spoke with some one from Skunk2 last Thursday (12/11/2008) and they said that the new kit might be released some time early next year. Does anybody have anymore info on this?
Well, I’m sure a lot of people aren’t even aware of the issues with it. It did come out this year, so it could technically be called new, but it’s not going to be the revised DA version. Skunk2 still had one listed on their site as being for an EF and DA last I checked.
Yeah I noticed that too. It would be nice if Skunk2 made the new ones already. I still have the old ones, never used them. Plus, I still need (more of a want) a front camber kit.
so are the ‘new’ camber kit out yet? I’ve been rolling new tires for 2 months and i see metal shavings on my tires already and was really planning to buy a camber kit.
