As Deceptakhan mentioned, even after the winter has passed and I pull it out of storage, it feels like something is missing.
He has. After winters like these he posts up how happy he should be seeing the car yet something is amiss. But as always he takes proper loving care of her, stored in a car cover in a dry spot for winter, meticulous detailing etc. Honestly the condition shows love. But after nearly 2 years of these posts if it isn’t going away…
To be honest Unified I feel the same about my gsr but I still have a spot for these 20 year old cars. Email me cyoungiv at gmail if you decide to move away to something else, though I hope it never comes! Send your facebook as well lol!
But after going through a few pages of this it just blows my mind how nice this car is.
Pictures make it look much more clean than it really is lol… it’s not all that.
But man, I’ll probably just keep it… it’s not like I’d get my money back if I sold it lol. I’m just bitching I guess. Thank you for the kind words, and you’ll be at the front of the line if I do ever decide to let it go.
On a side note, I actually sent you an email yesterday… get back to me when you get the time.
Hah! Thanks buddy… after painting so many cars, this is one of the better jobs I’ve done…
Thank you guys for the kind words… it definitely keeps my motivation up. Even if I dont see what you guys seem to lol. It makes me thankful to be part of a good community such as this.
Hey hey, I’ll always be around whether I have the teg or not! I always give out as much mis-information as possible.
Ya whatevers I’m calling BS on this Mr. Humble I seen the after wetsand close-ups
I’ll humor your mood when the car cover comes off xD!
Email responded
Mmhmm. I just call it like I see it, sir. And thanks, email re-replied!
So… not much of a major update, but…
We recently had a customer bring a CRX in to get re-painted, bay shaved, etc etc. Well, he ended up divorcing and parting put the car… I got this just for kicks:
Genuine ITR yellow-stitch shift boot. I really don’t have much of any yellow on my car… but the boot is just enough to give a fine detail/accent to the (otherwise stock) interior.
Also… I’m getting door-lock-actuators from the CRX shell as well. So I’ll have myself a nice little project installing and integrating those with my Clifford alarm system. Thankfully they are all wired up and working in the shell currently, so I just need to grab all of the important bits (actuators, wiring and relays) and it should be pretty slam dunk.
I will be sure to take pictures and do a small write-up when that happens.
looks pretty solid to me. I would say as long as you cleaned it up really good. that your should be very satisfied. you think its nerve racking port matching, Try and take tuning on :uhoh:
180whp was my goal… But after seeing the numbers it put down, I was reaaaaally wanting to hit 190 lol.
But yes… Feels so much smoother and responsive. I’ve only driven it with two (fairly good-sized) passengers… But it still felt great. Driving solo, I’m sure it will scream.
A little spendy for the tune, but totally worth knowing that it is now running right, and making good power to boot.
That is outstanding numbers, and a great build thread too, btw!
A little spendy for the tune, but totally worth knowing that it is now running right, and making good power to boot.
Good custom tunes are not cheap, for any car. Basically, comes down to buying experience acquired by someone over much time, and with great effort, for what is usually less per hour, than the hourly charge for the avg dealer mechanic who basically reads a tester, and slaps on new parts… any time I pay for any custom work on any thing or car, I consider myself lucky there are still people around with skills that have not been outsourced to India or China.
All in all it was a great day… Was under the gun as far as getting it all back together in time to make the appointment.
As soon as we got there, boom, problem. My O2 was NOT wanting to come out, which is necessary so they can install their wideband. As a last-ditch effort, it was mentioned that I could drop my cat, have them weld in a new bung, and give me a plug for it for $40 extra. I really didn’t want to spend the extra funds… But what had to be done was done and I just had them handle it.
what internals and parts are in ur ls vtec set up? i should take a video sometime, i put mine on the dyno every week for shits and giggles…always lets me down
