I toyed with the idea of painting my car with it… but figured it goes against my weight reduction ideals That and I don’t like the idea of lots of overspray between all the panels that I’ll never be able to remove. Still sorta considering painting my roof and hood since they’re carbon, but the white doesn’t match frost white very well and it’s difficult to spray large panels with a rattle can so I probably won’t bother.
Coming together nicely. I have the same coilovers. Going to eventually replace them with a set of D2s.
Yeah, the suspension is “ok” for how cheap it was… But I do want something different eventually.
Better coil-overs and a full overhaul on the suspension system will be done, wheel bearings etc.
All in time. For now, I just want to drive the damn thing!
HAHA I know that felling all to much lately. I like the way the plastidip came out on the mudflaps and my vote would be for Acura badges without a doubt im looking forward to seeing some updated pics.
I figured you guys are getting it too…
Speaking of, there is about 1/4" on the ground so far tonight and it’s supposed to carry over into tomorrow. Gah!
Here is the beast, and the mound of snow that I can’t navigate around/through. Spring, anyone, anyone?
So, tax returns came and I decided to get myself a gift… Skunk2 Pro series DA specific camber kit. I’ll be glad to get that RevoTechnica shit off the car.
And also, ordered a BNIB OEM “Integra” emblem. Discontinued from Honda and whichever way I go (Honda vs Acura) I’ll still need the Integra badge so, I swooped it up as soon as I saw one for sale. w00t me!
It came!
This is why I wanted new ones… the Acura emblem is the original one off my car, and it looks like ass:
So, I still haven’t decided whether to go with Acura or Honda badges
The camber kit should be here mid-next week. Glad to be on the downhill slope with this project!
Haven’t done anything to the car lately… I really don’t want to drive it on the wet, slushy roads.
But I had a couple things arrive, and a few things ordered. Anticipation for this season is eating me up!
So I bought my trunk carpet off of Colin quite a while back, and now am going to install it. Apparently, it takes 9 interior clips to secure the carpet to the back seats. IF my interior was Palmy Blue, the clips/screws would be about 60cents each. However, that is not the case… I have Graphite Black interior… And Acura decides that the proper clips for me should cost $6/ea. $6 x 9Clips, $54? 'rly? As much as I dislike eBay stuff, I just got some simple plastic push-clips to hold it in place. $8 for 25 clips… It’s just trunk carpet. Correct fasteners would be nice, but not at that price.
This arrived while I was at work:
First impression, I like them… They have a nice weight to them. The welds look… Functional. lol. Its not as pretty as you see on turbo manifolds, but it will definitely do what it needs to. The balljoint seems to have good travel, as they advertise the new Pro Series units to have a ‘new and improved’ balljoint. The plate and style of adjustment look to be much better than what my current setup is. Hopefully they do the job well.
My brother has an EK that he is finally finishing… And currently he picked up a set of AUDM black-chrome CTR headlights. As cool as they are, they’re still 15 years old… We decided to crack them open and clean them up.
Before on the left, after a quick sand and buff on the right:
Housing split, cleaning out the butyl tape:
After 4-stage sand and few coats of a UV plastic clearcoat/protectant:
There are some imperfections, it will take a time or two more to get them perfect… but they will look damn good when we get it down. He’s looking to have his car finished and ready for our local car meet to kick off the season. In two months time, this car will completely transform. I’ll keep everyone updated.
Car as of now:
And, I ordered the DirectedElectronics pig-tail for my Clifford alarm… It will be needed when I wire up my door-lock actuators. Thankfully eBay saved me again, $5shipped.
All that is left to order is the hardware for the mud flaps… and emblems. Meh. That should be all for the immediate future.

What was the clear you used on those lights? I did a lot of looking around for the best product when I was doing my lights and it seemed like everything specifically made for the task had lackluster performance. I ended up buying 2-stage automotive clearcoat and spraying it w/ a Pre-val. The car doesn’t hardly see the light of day so I won’t be able to see how it stands up to UV, and the finish isn’t perfect (what do you expect from a noob with a pre-val) but I think I’ll use the same method when I redo the lights on my Impreza. The stuff that’s on there now is starting to yellow and even chip away
We got it from our paint supply store, but I’m sure if you can’t find it locally you can get it online.
The determination was that automotive clear would probably look better (after sanded and buffed) than this UV stuff…however automotive clear is very brittle, this stuff seems more flexible… rubbery, if you will.
Don’t let that deter you, this stuff looks damn good… But it’s almost like a really good screen protector on a cellphone, baaaaarely detectable
Where did you find those integra badges at? Are they for our generation or just general ones?
The trunk “A” is '92-01 Integra and '92-94 Vigor. available
The trunk “Integra” is for the '92-93 Integra. discontinued
The trunk “Acura” is for the '90-93 Integra. available
The hood “A” is for the '91-'93 Integra. available
All of this is according to AcuraOEMParts.com.
The only one I’ve gotten so far is the “Integra” badge, as it was discontinued. I found it on eBay, the person was selling 5 of them, brand-new in packaging. If you want I can get the seller’s info, they may still have a couple.
I have all of the OEM badges that I took off, they’re just pitted badly, like in the photo up there. Hence me wanting to replace them all.
I know that I said no real mods planned for the near future… But, I kind of want to get rid of the Retracks. The style just isn’t really my thing and the white faces bug me.
My buddy bought a set of Konig FlatOuts last year before he sold his teg, and I really liked them… yes they’re a copy of a Volk wheel, but I refuse to spend nearly 2k on rims.
This is the color I like:
And for shits and giggles, them on my friends car:
Wait, those colors look totally different, one looks teal. I’ve always loved that style of wheel. I picked up some GRN-R’s a few years back after them being my dream wheel since high school. But when I realized how heavy they were I started looking for CE28’s. Don’t assume you can’t afford the real ones, I lucked out and found mine a few months ago for under $1000. Most seem to be a little more than that though depending on offset and color. I think demand is going down, the market for 4 lug is dying and 5 lug is starting to boom. And I’ve been regularly seeming the older GRN/NRS styles for even cheaper than the CE’s.
Today I saw a pic of DAves S2000 on white CEs and old pics of my car on my GRNs… It got me thinking about going back to white and white instead of my plasti dip black.
Those reps in MagBlue are gonna look killer on your car, I LOVE that color! It was the color I was hoping to find but they’re not common in that size.
They are indeed different colors… Mag Blue (dark) vs Tiffany Blue (light). He had them powdercoated.
A change is in order though. I think the mag blue will make the total package look much better.
are you going to lower the car more than what it is already?
Everything is looking real good in here man!
Indeed I will be lowering it. It will not be slammed, as I want it to be functional, but I will make it sit a little more proper.
I was trying to think of why it was so damn high… The last time I was regularly driving it was November of '09… I had raised it and put it in “winter mode” right before I tore the car down.
Thanks brotha
just went through you whole build… Awesome!

Those are Konig?
Konig Flatout, 15x8 +25
The 16"+ FlatOuts are 10 spoke vs 8 spoke. I like the 8 spoke version better, and I don’t mind rocking 15s.
They are a copy of the Volk CE28. Drag also has a similar version, as does Rota.
USPS delivered a nice package on Friday that had my interior push-clips… Time for the carpet!
It took about half an hour to find the trunk ‘floor plastic’ thingy, but after killing the storage shed at my house I found it. When I originally bought thr car it had no trunk carpet, Colin shipped me out this great piece and, let’s just say I’m very thankful. It’s weird how much more “complete” the car feels with such a simple thing.
