Hey whats goin on guys… I been coming around to these threads talking about how I’m gonna turbo my car. Well I finally made some progress. Hug progress in the course of 4 days. So far I have

-eGay speacial XS Power .48/.42 T3 turbo
-RevHard Manifold
-WRX BOV
-DSM 450cc Injectors
-eGay Intercooler
-Tial wastegate w/7psi spring
-Stealthmode Oil Lines
-boost/oil pressure gauge n dual gauge pod with all neccesary accessories needed

In the process of finding a 4 bolt downpipe, charge pipes, and chip my ecu and I’ll be straight and ready to turbo.

If you guys saw any flaws like if i missed a part that i will need let me know

What are you using to tune the car with?

Running an oil restrictor on that turbo doesn’t guarentee it’ll last. Either it’ll work for a long time, or go bad in a week no matter what you do.

gonna chip it with an xenocron.com chipping kit shown here http://www.xenocron.com/products.php?page=chippingkits .Its the one with the SST emprom. Whats the difference of an sst and amtel emprom.

And, the software I’m using is gonna be TurboEdit.

you need a five bolt turbo and downpipe when using the revhard from what ive heard. four bolts will have a clearance issue with the block.

just remember since your doin pizza delivery your gonna need something reliable so try not to cut too many corners.

That crockpot is pimp!! What brand is it? How much does it hold?
Oh and the turbo stuff is ok too.

lilrickps2-oh…well the dp comes with out the flange welded on. I can get it to work im sure. I got friends who can weld…

90DALS-Definately dont wanna cut corners i got multiple people saying its gonna blow once i finish the kit and put it on…altho my motor does have 300,000miles i beat on it everyday and it takes it and has compression realli high believe it was in the 200s in every cylinder. but regardless of if the motor blows or not. i have another motor lined up for $200 so im gonna grab that for sure and build it up.

the problem is not the flange. a five bolt downpipe and/or turbo sit at an entirely different angle than a four bolt. look at some pics and stuff closely and you will notice a sort of slant on the turbo housing itself. so you can weld flanges all you want and still have a clearance problem because of the housing and/or downpipe.

Yea, I noticed when I mount the turbo onto the manifold that it was slightly angled. So will this still work, b/c I dont have money to go and redo things right now. I’m just tring to get this done and be boosted. I bought this turbo and I have to commit. So, are there anyways to get it to work?

Well I just need Downpipe, chargepipes and chip my ecu n tune it now and im boosted…

i know what you need…some gauges, a boost gauge for sure, fuel pressure gauge…etc.

I have some cheap ACautotechnic gauges boost n oil pressure. im thinking of goin and gettin all autometer gauges tho. since im gonna want all my gauges to match.

autometer boost gauges are fruggin wack, never accurate

looks pretty decent. i ran that exact turbo for well over a year and never had a single issue.

i DEFINITELY recommend an oil restrictor with Chinese turbos though. here is the one i used, and still do on my new snail:

isnt many boost gauges out there for a decent price for a precise reading. you get what you pay for you know. blox gauge are pretty good infact and their decently priced.

ryan90teg- already ordered my oil restrictor.

ricecooker415-where can i find blox gauges. i went to bloxracing.com and they are non existant according to the website.

Also. my tial wastegate just came in the mail…yayy also graduation money has started to come in. i dont even got to spend my oen money to finsh the rest of my kit. haha…how sweet is that.

the bloxs gauges are currently out of stock right now, there was a issue regarding the face of the gauge. the issue is being fixed as we speak.

oh ok. thats cool. maybe when they are back in stock i will be ready for new gauges.

my Blox gauge is a piece of shit! it sat on my desk for about 4 months before i installed it, and in that time the needle dropped to 2hng for no apparent reason. the gauge never even moved off my desk and its no longer accurate. not to mention that the background is all cracked and looks like shit
