ls/vtecstitch build, take 2
I see you have been busy my friend… Just picked up a 91 Shell last friday.
Between school work and working on my wife’s DC Integra I haven’t had much time to do anything yet besides to the car home.
Going boosted??
I saw on vadriven you were looknig for a front 90-91 bumper. still need that? i have one if so.

yeah plans havent changed for the car (yet. lol)

Should be painted by the end of next week

Not sure, thinking about going with the JDM 91 bumper.
pm me a price, I’m going to compare them and if the differences are minimal I’ll just stick with the usdm.

lol thanks.
I guess pm on Vadriven

what up homie? looks like your doing work son, holla at ya boy, we need to catch up soon.

very nice build you’ve got there sir very nice indeed!

got my car back last night. there are some slight issues the paint guy is going to fix but overall i couldnt be happier.

color is cadillac thunder gray chromaflair.

My friend told me subconsiously i wanted another horizon gray because this color is so close to it. I set the two side by side to see the difference:

can’t wait to start diving into this build again.

very nice color.

Beautiful color. IMO I like it more than horizon gray.

Color looks great, Rob. Glad to see it coming along nicely.

For those that didn’t read the thread and don’t know me, I had a horizon gray DA that i semi built a few years ago. Well this weekend I had a chance to drive down and meet the current owner of the car. He really loves the car and wouldn’t let it go but the years haven’t really been too kind to it anyway. The car has been sitting for the past few months in his front yard. We had to wipe off at least an inch of pine needles to actually get to the car.

He said the car flooded last time it rained (thinking the dash plugs are dry rotted again by now) and he thinks the ECU is fried but he really didn’t know much about cars so he was shooting in the dark on that. The car had a few large dents in both quarter panels (about the size of a knuckle. It was also keyed on the rear driver side quarter panel. The driver side door handle was hanging out of the door and kind of worked. (I set it back in the door for him). Suspension was shot and the 1 piece headlights were super yellow. Motor and tranny are different as well. There were just numerous things overall wrong with the car now.

Well after talking a bit I told him I had a good passenger side fender that I had painted a few years ago to trade with someone for the dented one. To my surprise this is the first owner of the car that said yes I can trade him! I will be prepping and painting this soon to put on my current build.

On with some pics:

…… And the piece that I’ve been trying to get for a while

been a long time since ive been on here. car is looking amazing. im gona have to come by and see it. i still want another one some day. maybe as a dd. lol

look what the cat dragged in!! That would be awesome but the only way i see that happening is if you keep building the audi so much that it ends up being a track only car.

Come on by whenever brotha! We need to catch up too.

not hard to find a beater DA. lol

Why have you been waiting on the dented fender bro?

it holds some sentimental value to him; look through his first build and you’ll understand…

Ok got ya, thanks

Love the new color!

not much in the update department but i got back the hood and bolted up the trunk. my paint guy cleared it for me. I think it came out great.

These two pics help out a little bit with the color but i think when i get a chance to finally roll the car outside in the daylight the color will really pop.
