MY Car, MY Turbo

SO…
After a long time I finally have something I can drive and ENJOY!!!
I started with a 1993 Nissan sentra CLASIC

After driving that around for a year and the g/f leaving me and taking all my shit including the car I decided I’m going to start a project…

What inspired me was my best friend Jon. he had a awesome and clean db1

We worked on his car for a wile, rims stereo upgrade rim, and finally, did a B16a1 swap with the s1 tranny and loved it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpNsYserhgM
But sometimes fun comes to an end…were in this case, his fuel line bursted shorted the pump and lit his car on fire

My Project. 1992 Acura Integra GS

When I got it, the car was a mess…

so after 300 bucks and a weekend I made her look all shiny and new
EXTERIOR:

after driving it around for a wile and paying some stuff off, I started to save some for some little things to make it look a little more sexier something worked…others was just a waist of time and now it’s off(like under glow)

And I think that looked to “rice” so I took them off"

Got some new rims, lowered my car with skunk 2 springs, some headlights and that’s all I wanted to do when it comes to the outside.

ENGINE:

So I started off with a stock B18a1 with an YS1 tranny

First mod: a COOL AIR INTAKE!!! Not lots of power but it sounded cool and throttle response was better.

Then I painted my Valve cover.

Put in a DEL SOL SI dual core 1/2 rad and junked the a/c so my engine ended up looking like this.

Drove around for a while liking to but then I did some hmk on forced induction and it let me go TURBO
At first I thought this wasn’t going to be a hard task. run some pipes do some exhaust work this and that, more I got into it the more I realized I better take my time doing this. So after 6 months of working my car and making sure every time I installed a new part it would have to drive 6hr’s b/c I always did it at my parent’s house. I ended up getting a turbo kit and installing it like SO.

Removed all the A/C stuff

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkZS7DBe83c (IT’S NOT FAST YET BUT IM GETTING A WORKING BOV AND IM GONNA BE RUNNING 6 INSTEAD OF 3.5PSI.)

Put in the intercooler ran all the piping, made a whole in the side of my car to run the piping. Installed a custom washer bottle, got my bov welded and some holes shut and ended up with my final product. I just have to clean up the engine bay, get a new battery, relocate it in the back, do some body work…

dont bash it up too much, it’s still a work in progress, most of it was done at my dad’s garage so most of it is home made, but w/e lol, but i think im doing allright for now considering iv had the car for one year. and no to much funds…

Inside.

I haven’t done too much, DEH 5900 poineer gauges boost and a/f LED swap and 2 10” subs type “S” with a Mono v12 alpine amp and a CAP

nice start man- what kind of turbo kit did u get?

the turbo is off a 1989 mazda 626 GT 2.2L turbo and the rest is all custom/home made

it spools quick and doesnt tapp out at the high rpms so it’s good, but just waiting for the new bov to come so i can run more boost

good deal man, also whats the dim, of that front mount, it fits perfect.

Great job man, i like it. not really one with the green guage but its all cool. Keep up the great work. And i think if your engine dosent have a buttload of miles u might be able to crank the boost up a hair. Also get the shit tuned. I wanna see the numbras

lol it’s just green b/c i was running rich, it was at idle and cold, lol, and the diameters are…

lenth is 30 inches from fin end to fin end and 42 inches from end to end from pipes

it’s 6 1/2 inches tall

and 3 inches wide.
i do need it tuned and ill be running 6 psi when i have a propper BOV

Good work. Looks great. Glad to see the manifold worked.

i really enjoy homemade turbo kits, sorry to keep buggin u, off hand can u give me prices of about what u paid? im thinkin bout doing one myself.

nice dude. you pretty much have a clone of my car but your richer than me lol good start and i hope to see more

aww man… good shit dude… im bout to boost mine soon… i just need to source the turbo parts right now… my suspension is half way done also…

hey man just curious…how did you get your guage lights that blue? and the climate control lights blue?

i did an LED swap with wedge style bulbs if you search it you can find it.

the total cost of the car is

CAR. 1800
300 for tint, wax and cleaning supplies.
headlights were 180 i think?..
RIMS 800
Lowering 600
Turbo 140 manifold
900 for the intercooler, charge piping, turbo, oil lines, fmu, oil fittings downpipe, walbaro 255 pump a piller gauge pod with both gauges
led lights were 35 bucks
and rest is all maintence

thats a nice size fit on the FMIC

what do u mean though, u need a BOV before you can run more boost?

my bov didnt work so my turbo was surging, and i didnt want it to blow up but i have a new one that’s working so i just have to re-connect my c/p and gonna be running 6psi, vids chould be up within the week

Was that FMIC custom made?

yea it was cut in 3rds off an old old E350 turbo diesel truck and they were made out of alloy so they just cut them, sealed them, sold 2 and kept one.

not thread jacking, but how does a fuel line burst and pump to short? just wondering for future reference

he didnt know before but his boss hardwired the fuel pump without a fuse so… allways use a fuse, there not there to decorate. lol, so yea, it’s all good

On a updated note: i cant get my c/p to hook up it keeps on popping off at the turbo. so im going to try something new tomorrow, and sugestions would be good:)

dude i have that same turbo! i jus picked it up from one of my buddies for 20 bucks lol and its perfect. im lookin at doin exactly what you did here with your setup… where did you get the turbo mani from…?
