My First DA

Appreciate it man, thanks. I had more pictures but they arnt showing up anymore. Yea I plan on getting some drilled and slotted rotors at some point. Right now im waiting on my neuspeed short shift kit and skunk2 shift knob. That strut bar was well worth the money. It was kind of hard to get on but still only took me about 30 mintues. I test drove it and I was taking turns going 40 or 50 and didnt even realize I was going that fast. Heres what it looks like on the car.

Now the vc needs to be painted.

Ok, so anyone thinking of ordering anything from BoostFlow.com…dont. I ordered that Neuspeed short shift kit on the 23rd and hadnt recieved any tracking info or anything. I called them just now and they told me that they called and left messages (which they didnt) saying that the item was discontinued. They said they had a Skunk2 dual bend short shift that they could send me insted that was alittle cheaper. They said I would get the difference in cash back which is fine with me. I like Skunk2 but, the only problem is that now I have to buy bushings for it. The neuspeed one came with the bushings. Im kind of mad at them for not informing me earlier but, at least now I know for sure my package is on the way. What are some good companies that make shifter bushings? Ha, The skunk2 shifter is alittle cheaper but, i’m gonna spend more having to find bushings. FML:bang:

Got the shift knob today. I went ahead and put it on the old shifter since the short shift isnt here yet.

(I have Skunk2 coilovers also, So im not just putting the sticker on for the shift knob. ha)

Some more pictures I found.

Short shift came in today. I dont have new bushings so I cant install it yet:(

ok I just installed that short shift. It was easy to get it off but it was a major pain to get back on. It also hits the exhuast everytime I shift, and when I move it back and forth in neutral. Does anyone know how to fix this? Im thinking i can just cut the back end off the stablizer bar and it would fix the problem.

ok did a search and found some suggestions to fix the problem. All in all the shifter is really nice. It gets into the gears really well, its got a nice short throw but not to short to not feel the gears, it sits low but not to low. I didnt replace the bushings cause I just wanted to put the thing in. Ill have pictures tomorrow

Might want to take the big heatshield off. I did when I did my shifter, but I have the B&M dual bend short throw, got it from Summit for 50 bucks. I work one exit from the Summit store too :stuck_out_tongue: I am in love with the B&M and the ES bushings…one of my favorite things I did to my car!

The heat sheild wasnt on there. Ill have to get some es bushings. I just wanted to put the thing on but i wish i had put bushings too. I wrapped the part of the exhaust where it hits with heat wrap and it still hits but at least its quiet now. what shift knob is that?

That’s a “banana” knob from the DC Integra. I like it because it goes with a curved shifter. And it’s not hard to do the bushings, you can always do that later. I haven’t had any problems with mine hitting the exhaust…weird.

Bacardi did you get this one? It looks like its a DC shifter but I found it on their site by entering 93 integra. Is that the one or is it different?

What kind of exhaust do you have? Ive got an rsr ex mag, and its either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch piping. so i guess it hits cause the piping is to large. Either that or the shifter wasnt made for my car. On the box it said 92-00 civc and 94-01 integra.

Yep that’s the shifter. Was around 50 bucks.

I have some egay special exhaust. 2.5" piping. Yeah, the shifter could be the problem!

Deul bend shifter FTW:D

Ok ,well the zip ties I used to hold the heat wrap around the exhuast melted…big surprise I know. Now the shifter is hitting again, but the new bushings are on the way so whenever I put those in ill figure out a new idea… (maybe)

Finally installed the new bushings today. It actually made quite a difference, I didnt think it would be that big of a change. I went to acura yesterday and got that “bracket” piece which was like $9 so not bad at all. Now i’m just trying to figure out what to do next. Hmmm the posibilitys are endless, well not really my budget kinda makes them end at some point

good pick up… me love da"s too!!!
