I hadn’t made a new video since I put my motor back in a few months ago. I was bored last night after the car meet so decided to go ahead and make one. It’s kinda dark which sucks, but maybe my screen is just really dark. It’s me going from 0-130. I was gonna stop at 100 but figured I might as well keep going. (I don’t know which code to use to embed it)

Update : My car has been having some major idle issues for the past month. Long story short after searching through every possibility I finally fixed it tonight. My tune was bad. I’m back to running the stock ecu and all is good. I also installed my air to fuel gauge tonight and i’m gonna go get my bung welded on tomorrow.
Here is a timelapse I made last weekend of my step dad and I working on my car. We were searching for vacuum leaks and replacing any hoses that were suspects of leaks.

Little update for everyone. Last thing I posted was I had just gotten my wideband installed. Well after weeks and weeks of trial and error I finally got my air to fuel ratios where my car pulls the hardest. I only had the burner so without datalogging or the emulator it was a bit of a pain to dial everything in, but I managed to get it pretty darn close. I just went to the dyno on Saturday and did 2 pulls (it was a dyno day). I made 125hp 93tq which is lower than I was expecting, but for a stock b16a with 105,xxx miles on it and basic bolt ons, it’s about normal. I’ve been trying to get my car inspected for the last month, but things keep coming up causing it not to pass or not to be done. First time was my front tires were bald which I didn’t know so I had to by new tires. Next time I went in they were out of the gas that they need to calibrate the machine. Today I went back for the inspection, but my low idle HC failed by a lot. Standard is 220 and mine was 365. I made a new chip earlier and adjusted my fuel map at idle to make it run a bit leaner. That should allow me to pass next time. Here are some recent photos and the video of my dyno pulls.

New tires =] Yokohama S.drive
Day 120 by AlwaysInVtec, on Flickr
Raised it up half an inch so the new tires wouldn’t rub cause they’re 205/50’s not 205/45’s like I had last time.

Made a custom shifter extension. It’s one inch lower now and painted black. I’ll get a new photo at some point. I love it though

Burned the new chip earlier today

Always nice to see a DA this nice, keep up the good work…
I noticed u have an auto cluster?? I have a manual one wit 86k miles on it if ur interested.
Love this thread so much I had to read it all over again. good shit
whats mounts are you using(besides the hasport tranny mount)? that motor seems to be rocking quite a bit in the dyno vid.

Thanks. Yea the car was originally an automatic, but I decided to keep the cluster cause it’s a good reminder of how much the car has been through over the years. Thanks though

Thanks =] A lot of the photos on the first couple pages are gone, but I think that’s cause the site was down for so long that some of them got lost idk. Yeeaa I never really noticed my motor moved that much till I saw it that day. The rear motor mount is a stock one I got from autozone and filled it in with window weld and the driverside mount is 2 hockey pucks. Which sounds bad but it’s actually worked out really well. The reason it’s rocking so much is the rear T bracket doesn’t have the 2 bolts the attach it to the trans. When I put the motor back in we put the top bolt in the wrong spot so the bottom doesn’t line up with trans. I plan on fixing it, just haven’t gotten around to it. It’ll be nice and solid once that’s fixed though
oh yeah, the hockey puck mod. LOL since the back one is filled, It must be those 2 bolts missing thats causing that.
keep up the good work!

Yeah, without those 2 bolts holding it to the trans it pivots on that top bolt. It’ll get fixed as soon as I stop being lazy lol.
So I saw a photo of Randy Gagan’s integra on Honda-Tunings Facebook page and noticed something that I thought was cool. He had relocated his coolant reservoir down in front of his radiator. Now he didn’t have ac so he didn’t have a condenser in the way like I do, but I figured out a way around it.
I used a simple L bracket to mount it
Then I used a screw to hold it to the metal beam inside the bumper, and I used a bolt and nut to hold the bracket to the tank
I routed the hose underneath my ac line then snaked it between the back of the headlight and the front of the condenser
I think it’s a perfect spot for it. I can still take the top off to fill it up and if I ever need to remove my bumper I can just take the cap off and it’ll come off with it.

Few more shots

Re did my valve cover again. The powder coat that was put on last time ended up cracking and getting bumps all over it so I just wet sanded it all smooth and sprayed gloss black over it. Came out really nice, but I haven’t taken a photo of it yet…for some reason idk lol

Got my dsm 450’s today. Hopefully within the next few weeks I can get them in and re-tune for e85 =]

I also have a B16 swap and was having idle issues. I had to use a B18 map in order to stabilize the idle. Now my car idles fine and runs good but uses a little bit more gas than it should. Eventually I will be upgrading to neptune to fix that. I read on the internet, and this is what I believe, is that the chrome b16 map has idle issues. Was your’s a chrome map?
Also, I will be doing the overflow tank mod you did. I’ve been debating relocating the overflow tank for a long time and I can’t believe I didn’t think of that! Thanks for putting that picture up and letting others, like me, able to do that mod.
the transformation of this teg…lord…i love it man

I’ve been running the p30 map for over a year and never had issues with it before. I just went into crome and disabled the iacv and my idle is all good now. Only downside to doing that is with the ac on it idles really low. And yea I haven’t had any issues with the coolant tank being moved. I can still open it if needed and unbolt it if I need to dump it out. It’s a quick and easy thing to relocate
Thanks I appreciate it. It’s come quite a way since I bought her a little over two years ago. I’ve still got plans for her though. Like most people a project car will never be finished. Hopefully by the end of july or early august, i’ll be on e85. Just depends on how long it takes me to tune for it. I’ve seen some cars that like it and it’s easy to tune and i’ve seen some that hate it and it’s a pain in the butt to tune. So yea fingers crossed my car likes it and everything goes smooth
sounds good man, i hope the best for it. nothing like seeing how far your car has come
Thanks. She’s getting there
Ok so update :
I made a rig so I could spray fluid through the injectors before I installed them. That way I knew they would be clean and good to go.
After I did that a buddy and I wired in the resistor for each of the injectors (10w 10ohm)
After that I installed the dsm 450cc injectors
Then I went and bought a few gallons of e85 and started her up. I figured it wouldn’t run because I was still using my 93 pump gas tune, but I was wrong. It ran surprisingly well although extremely rich. Here is a short video I shot running on e85 for the first time (93 pump gas tune)
Then today I worked on doing the real tune. I set up my fuel multiplier table and battery offset tables until I got a steady idle of 15.2-15.5. The reason i’m running it a bit leaner at idle is cause I want less emissions. I then advanced my timing across the board by 2 degrees. On e85 I could advance even more, but i’ll wait to do that. I managed to get the low cam fuel map tuned as close as I could to being perfect. It could use some minor tweaks in the future just to smooth things out. I’ll tune the high cam tomorrow and hopefully have it fully tuned by this weekend.
What I’ve noticed so far is the mid range power from about 2-4k has improved. It pulls much better in that range and I’m thinking with a bit more timing it could improve even more. That’s the advantage of running e85 (or race fuel), you can advance the timing quiet a bit without having to worry a bout detonation. So far i’m glad i’m doing this. I love the way e85 smells (hehe), with the right tuning i’m feeling small changes in my powerband (haven’t taking it into vtec yet), and it’s cheaper…although i’m running roughly 30% more fuel.

That’s it for now. I’ll keep everyone up to date with how things are going
