Seriusly, One of the finest rides on here. Amazing work dustin:up:
dustin- teg looks beautiful:)
do you have any tips on doing the wire tuck? im doing mine or at least attempting tooā¦
I did a how to thread. its in the teg tips section I believeā¦
yeah i reference it alot but im wondering if theres other ways.
I just did the standard headlight harness through the fenderwell trick, then with the main harness I did loomed it all and made the harness a single entry in-between the firewall and rear subframe. When I made the harness it was out of the car and ran all the wires and extended or shortened sensor wire if needed to keep them tucked away. I also used a small black heat shrink for the wires. If you have anymore pics let me know man!
UPDATES!!!
Finally had some time this weekend and finally drove the teg! Took it down to the gas station for the first time in a year. The car drove great, and the new konis and suspension felt great! i was nothing but impressed with driving the car. Its such a relieve to be able to drive the car! I still have some interior work left to do and my rear quarter glass window trim. But its coming along! Anyways hereās some pics of some work and it outside when I took it for the drive.
Got my cpf stickers on!
Getting her ready to pull outside!
I think I may be too low. took some boards to get out of the driveway.
Sitting out front
Sweet bay pic!!
amaaazzziinnng i got the email that you updated your thread and got all excited
Took the teg out for a drive last night to see how it drove on the highway. Drove great and super smooth. Also on another note I registered today for the nisei show and Iām really excited to take the teg out to that show!! And on the 10th Iām taking the car to meet with Patrick with Quickworks photography and having the car shot.
Snapped some pics of it last night.
Pic of my buddy danās supra
Started to get the carpet cut out and ready. used the old carpet as a template, and cut out the holes.
Didnt get much pics of the in between work but at the end of the night this is where I ended up.
Have to cut out the dead pedal holes and get the door sills put on.
Enjoy!!
Canāt get enough of your ride! Makes me wish I didnt have to daily mine.
Where did you get that carpet from? I like how it has the heel pad.
Great job Dustin!!! Everything is coming together nicely.
i got dumb question lol! where to get a passenger quarter panel glass moldings trims and clips ?
Teg Youngin, to my surprise, I am happy to hear that you registered for Nisei. It just so happens that I will be in Los Angeles the weekend of, to visit my family and friends and have made plans to attend Nisei specifically for the car show. I greatly look forward in seeing your build and meeting you in person. I have been in exile from SoCal for the past 12 years and am finally coming home to the LA/Daygo area during that week. I am that much more excited to come out and meet a G2 member.
Wow congrats on getting it done and outside! I never emailed you but I bought some Koniās. Iām not gonna thread jack but the updates are in my thread. One thing about DAās I feel they are such a pain when low. I have been tweaking mine so that I can just get out of the driveway without scraping. I would also like to know some more about this carpet. Looking immaculate.
Iām excited to meet you there man! Iām excited to bring it out to the show because my car hasnt been to a show in a year so very good feeling for that.
Thanks man! its very very close to 100%ā¦for the time being, I have already found myself thinking of the next thing to do on it. itās a curse I swear.
Yeah the car is very low thats how I will keep it for shows, and shoots, but I will bring it up for driving around, I dont see myself driving the car alot anyways though. And the carpet is from stockinteriors.com itās molded to the car just no holes cut out, but Iām very happy with the outcome.
still selling the air ducts?
Nice job Dustin! Its been a long time coming. Hope to see you n your ride in person at nisei.
I smell a magazine feature coming up in the near future.
It is getting photoshot by Patrick with quickworks this weekend!
Wow, this car is inspirational. Also with that new carpet in it makes me realize how charcoal coloured mine really is haha.
