Oh god! Boosted DA’s look so freakin’ sexy!
that looked like shit, what kind of pulley where you using?
the powerforce plus harmonic damper from professional products #90050. 5" under driven alternator only. SFI certified and everything so i thought i was good to go. after my oil pump blew up i sent the damper to the machine shop to get checked out and it wasn’t balanced at all and it waved also. i got it machined but i reinstalled the oem damper since i’ve never heard of any issues with it even at 500hp.
you can somewhat see it in this pic. it’s too bad cause it looked nice.
little update.
Details??? Do tell!
benson’s sleeved b18c with 84.5mm wiseco’s, eagle rods, toda oil pump gear, acl race bearings, fully balanced.
I just discovered this thread, and while it’s been incredible seeing all the ups and downs of your various builds, this most recent one is looking pretty damn exciting. I can’t wait to see what comes of it man! Keep up the awesome work!
sounds like this one might be able to withstand the abuse that you like to put them threw
haha i guess we’ll find out soon enough. right now im trying to win against my overheating issue. ordered a DEI titanium turbo blanket, titanium heat wrap, getting my manifold ceramic coated and then re wrapping it, koyo rad to replace my no name, and i already have the mishimoto thermostat and rad fan switch, samco silicone hoses, skunk2 rad cap, 13" spal puller fan and water wetter. if it still runs on the hot side i will have to make air ducts to direct the air into the rad. and if that still doesn’t work im driving the car off a bridge.
anyone know where i can buy a black carpet? does that even exist new? like a retard i cut up my mint carpet when i was stripping and installing stuff in my car cause i thought i didn’t want it but the heat from my exhaust is destructive during the summer.
after what seemed like years the oil pump finally came in!!! the installation begins!
Weather has been crap lately so I really didn’t get as much done as I would have liked. But if there’s even anyone following or interested in my thread today I assembled some stuff on the block. Water pump, rear main seal, oil pump, windage tray and oil pickup, oil pan. If it warms up a little i should be starting it up next weekend. Crossing my fingers for no more snow.
ive been watching for updates bro! im excited to see the outcome
got my manifold back. ceramic coated goodness.
I love your mani. I hope mine turns out just as nice

try this one
exactly what i was looking for thanks a lot.
no i have a LS YS1. i had a GSR YS1 but it was too short so i traded with a friend. fun when you’re n/a and have no power. not so fun when you have power. not sure if that’s what you were asking. my clutch is a 92-93 cable clutch. the only difference between cable and hydro is the throw out bearing.
Finally have some warm weather so I had enough time to install the block and trans today. Should be finishing up the rest saturday and sunday.
