and she’s tuned!! pretty sure i have gen 1 sir cams though because my power band is horrible. so i got screwed there but oh well at least the engine runs good. and good news no more smoke! at first it was still smoking more then usual but after a couple runs it went away. in fact it was smoking less under full boost and at 8000rpm then it was when i would just rev it a bit in neutral when i brought it to the shop. any way…

and the big numbers are…

260whp, 220lbs-ft tq at 15psi on a mustang dyno. (mustang dyno’s read MUCH lower then any other dyno. this is equivalent to my old 300whp i did on the dynojet) yeah it’s pretty shitty haha but the first gen sir cams just killed it. next year ill be installing type-r cams with more boost and it should make at least 350-380whp on the mustang. which is above 400whp on any other dyno so i’ll be happy.

Hmmm interesting… what head are you using again? Pr3? But nonetheless I still like it. With your ls set-up you tuned on the dynojet correct?

ls-t was tuned on the dynojet. pr3 first gen head, and apparently the first gen cams i thought i had the gen 2.

i dont even care about the numbers this year especially with the shitty cams. im just happy that 1, turbo works and sounds fine and 2, engine stopped smoking and no weird sounds.

X2 on that. I’m sure you’ll hit your whp mark when you switch out those cams.

for sure. goin from gen 2 sir cams to type-r is a good 30hp. so from gen 1 sir to type-r is probably 50-60hp alone. they’re so bad that my obd0 LS cams were better haha.

velly nice!. Take any vids of it while it was tuning? So how come you chose to go on the mustang dyno instead of the dynojet?

i took two vids with my phone but there in some weird format. i uploaded it to photobucket but there’s sound only and you cant really hear anything since it’s so loud. i chose the mustang because thats what my tuner has now and it’s the best dyno to tune on because it produces the biggest loads so it’s the closest one to real life.

here’s the one you can hear the most. but this wasn’t the final run he lets off around 6-7k rpm.

my new exhaust. incredible how much more quiet this one is compared to my magnaflow. it’s a dynomax. not sure what model but it’s a real 3" muffler with the baffles and stuff. i got a little slant going on for the tail pipe also. put a little style compared to before haha.

it doesn’t rod knock but it has some weird knocking sound i’ve never heard and theres no more oil pressure. towed it home. going tear it apart next weeked.

visually from the outside everything looks fine. so definitely something internal. i have a feeling im going to have to build a new block. i just really hope my rods and pistons are fine. i’ll find out soon i guess. ahhh it never ends! it has now become a challenge for me to get this car running perfectly! but i gotta admit i beat the living shit out of it tonight. it was running awesome until it died. i guess it didn’t pass the test. haha :frowning:

nope. all i know is that it was making weird sounds and i lost oil pressure. so oil pump failure is my guess. ill try to take the engine out by friday. its getting cooooold here but from tuesday to friday they’re announcing up to 10*C so ill hurry up and do it on those days. i dont have a garage :frowning:
