Nawaaz's Build Thread

LOL, all I got from that was “photo”. So I assume you want an update. Things have slowed down a bit at the shop, so here I am with some time to waste, here’s what we’ve been up to.

Installed the 70mm S2 Alpha TB

Had to make some fuel line brackets to run underneath the beast.
Took a few of these:

TIGed them together and painted them to make these

All installed

Made our own rear bumper bracket, weighs almost nothing, allows for quick release, and easily adjustable.

Then we finally got the whole rear end together

Ran the fuel lines underneath and brought them out before the spare tire well. Just gotta put some grommets in there

Stiff Suspension? Nah broooo.

My 1yr old cousin reppin our shop!

Also, I don’t have a lot of time to update this, so if you want to follow the build on facebook, here is a link to our page:

All caged up

Mounted up the side skirts… replicas for now though =(

Got around to repainting the front calipers while we’re running them before upgrading

And we’ve been working on a lil something something for the QP windows :bang:

Took her out to breathe a little bit today!

Car looks good. I need to take mine to get sandblasted so I can remove the original paint, and repaint, and start from scratch.

DA JeLLie. Thanks! The sandblasting is a life saver man, it reveals all the porous metal and weaker spots that you should replace… truly is a NEED in my eyes.

Little update… Couldn’t even turn the wheels that much without rubbing the fender.

Had to roll the fenders and do a slight pull to clear the wheels :stuck_out_tongue:

Anddddd with both wings :o

I finally got around to rolling/pulling the other fender… not too bad for my first go.

Also, started assembling my switch panel :D… Because Race Car!

Trying to make it out for the opening track day at Grand Bend (Local track here in Ontario)

Love her to death!

Started the wiring/harness/switches/fuse boxes/centre panel

This might just grow to be my favorite 2nd gen ever! It is looking crazy good!

Seriously. It’s definitely one of my favorites!

What are the specs on your wheels and tires? I’m not sure if you’ve posted that or not…

Thanks! Hoping to get her fired up by next weekend! I am sooooo excited! lol

Thanks, I can’t remember the exact specs, but I will find out for you tomorrow for sure… I know my tires are 225/50/16… had a rubbing issue so I rolled the fenders w/ a slight pull (because I like the look as well), took care of the rubbing, with lots of space left over for suspension travel.

You should post a video!

Car is looking good so far, love the Hokutos

Will do, hopefully tomorrow :D… Got power and everything hooked up, setting up the base map on the EMS, then we’re good to go

Thanks! Appreciate it! I bought those like 4 years ago knowing that I would use them on this car one day haha.

Well, got some updates

Firstly, a friend swung by with his new car…

Thennnn… Engine Start Button finally came in

Installed it beside the main power switch… (I love flicking the main power switch… so much fun lol)

Then, Had to install the AEM Wideband gauge, came out pretty sweet

Finished the harness, mostly, we just have to wrap everything, we fueled it up, started setting up the basemap on the EMS, and hopefully get to hear her roar tomorrow

And finally, a shot of my 2 beasts… I love CF as you can see lol

Much to my dismay, the beast didn’t start :(. It’s depressing yet exciting. The reason is that even though the AEM EMS is calibrated to work with the honda distributor, it really hates it…a lot, lol. The signal is very weak…blah blah blah. So… Coil-on-Plug setup it is! AEM EPM on order. Using CBR 600RR ignition coils. Just need a few more things…this should be interesting.

AEM EPM is in

Installed with 600RR Coils

Started looming all the wiring… will be braided sleeving next winter when we pull the motor and harness again.

And these two will be seeing some track time this year together

Engine Start button?

You ricer!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks great! Where’d you get the carbon hatch? Price?
