tried to buy non-abs brake lines at the dealer the other day, they are discontinued!! Out to the junkyards!!
parts car FTW! also i made my own extensions to the non abs prop valve
I Know i know im sry to ask BUT
i ave a fully standard 93’ GS and i want to get rid of my ABS
im slightly machanicly inclined but i want to know a general parts list and where the most likely place to obtain these parts are,
im also going to be swtiching to full syn [DOT5] fluid and wanted to know if there are any seals that wont stand up to syn fluid.
can i use a non abs mc on a abs brake booster??
can? probably. will it work very well? probably not.
the boosters are slightly different in size, so some parts may not line up properly.
i found i guy close to me that is going to let me pull everything that i need off one of his parts cars [ he has 11 or 12 of them lol ] for 100.00 . . the question i have is 1. is that a fair price you think? and 2. i want to have very little pedel movement once upgrade is complete, how do i make good brakeing but have a firm steady peddle feel?
steel lines and quality fluid.
Went to the junkyard yesterday, and pulled all the non-abs lines, including firewall back, and prop valve for $fity. Got all the abs lines pulled tonight, so now comes the fun installing all the non-abs stuff, fun.
Dam Agazzi, had I known you needed some, I would have sold you the extra set i have for cheap.
LMK when your ready to make the extensions, if you need some i can get them made for you for relitivly cheap. or you can buy the ones i had made
Got a problem never ran into, my parts guys sent me abs axles for a 91 civic swap. Is the spline count at the wheel hub the same on a abs axles as a non abs axle? Can the dust rings be removed?? I need this car done this weekend. Thanx
Found my answer…later.

k thanks mark. i have a parts car so im just gonna pull out all the lines and stuff.
that’s an excellent idea.
i have an abs m/c, and need to get the booster and my brakes will be complete.

Thanks Glynn, but no extensions here, I pulled the 2 lnes from the firewall-back too (a bit of a PITA, but I figured since it was apart might as well do it complete).
But look at what I found on my junkyard excursion: Has 199,xxx mi, and the complete swap is intact. I tried getting the junkyard owner to give me a decent price, but he knows what he has and said he wants to keep it for a while, darn.
I have 4 adapter fittings for sale. These allow you to use the brake lines on the fire wall from a non abs car and a abs master cylinder and you don’t have to reflare on new ends.
id ont know if yall will be grumpy about this but what is a list of all needed parts off of a NON-ABS car that i need to swap my 93ABS to NON-ABS
the parts var that i found has the WHOLE system still intact,
so i can pull what ever i need i just need to know what to get.
and as a side not id like to have a firmer pedel because mines way to touchy
any suggestions
did you read the whole thread? cause all the parts are mentioned.
off the top of my head:
booster
mc
prop valve
lines from mc to prop valve
that should do it. then just take out all the ABS crap and replace it.
my conversion is done. i kept the abs booster and mc. i also replaced all the hard lines and made all new ones. i didnt think it would be this easy.
AF. i read most of the thred, and all that parts ARE listed but not all at once plus i was wanting to make sure that i didnt need any of the lines from under the car. because i saw something in a diff thred that was saying the line going to the driver rear was differant, why i wouldnt know but it has differant routing.
and i dont need any adapter fitting or anything??
anyone know the answer about getting a firmer pedel feel?
all you need is the prop valve, everything else is on your car, my cost $30.00 for the prop valve:dance: 93gsr-t
