I found a 1" master cylinder for cars w/o ABS at Advance Auto Parts. Here is the link It was under a 1991 Integra GS.

Interesting…however, my 1" ABS master cylinder is less than a year old as is…
ebay it =) I sold the one of my red parts car as is for about $10
Well, I want to use it…its newer and the correct fit for my car. Just found out my GF’s dad has a single or double flaring tool I can use so Im gonna give that a shot…why not!
Welp…used the Snap-On flaring tool today and got my shit right finally.
The hardest part was getting the line bent straight so that I could push the fitting far enough down the line so that I could get the tool on and flare the line…then rebending the line back to its original state, all while this shit was still in the car.
Wasnt that hard but took a little while (1-2hr)…
The conversion fitting would def be much nicer if you can find the part. I checked two Autozones and looked all over the web and even went to a local brake place however they didnt carry much of anything metric.
i’m getting my adapter soon–just found out today that jake’s computer which took a major crap on him is now back in order and he’s back online.
can’t wait for my fitting, oh jakeypoo!
I’ve got a '90 GS and I’ve got some sort of aluminum orifice block behind my ABS reservoir (towards the firewall). It appears to be some kind of proportioning valve/pressure reducer for the ABS. Does this need to be removed with the ABS componentry? I could not make out if it was removed in the pics or not.
No, that part stays. Here’s a pic:
If that doesn’t work(since :imgsux: ), copy and paste this link in your address bar:

Thanks for the info. Say, I suppose it would be possible to
cut the ABS lines and rout adaptor lines to the proportioning valve without having to go through the trouble of taking the old lines out. Any thoughts?
neither work nino
Try to right click the link and use “copy shortcut” and then paste that in your address bar. If you highlight and copy, it won’t work.

It would be possible, but swapping out the lines for the non-ABS versions is a lot cleaner IMO. Besides, swapping out the lines isn’t as difficult as it seems. I thought it’d be imposible with the motor in the car, but it wasn’t that bad.
neither way worked…send me the pic and ill host it for you if you want
hahha, oh shit…after i hit reply it came up :hmm:
:imgsux:
Okay, I’ve got another silly question. I’ve got a proportioning valve out of a 93 Del Sol with front disc/rear drum brakes. The valve appears EXACTLY the same, including the bracket that mounts it to the firewall (or in the Integra’s case, the rt side strut tower). I’m wondering if there is any difference that anyone knows about before I just try it out.
Hmm, not sure about that one… You might want to compare part numbers at the dealer(or ask FAMILYG2 on this board since he works at the dealer).
from what i understand, everyone on h-t who does a drum-to-disc conversion in the back ends up needing a 4-wheel-disc proportioning valve. with that in mind, i don’t know that usability looks too good for you. I’m not an expert, so continue to seek answers, but from what i’ve seen it won’t do the job properly.
if any one finds the right adapter fitting im very intrested in one.
Only reason i ditched abs, cleaner engine bay
