pics of my non abs conversion
you’re right i dont need them… i just saw what you’re talking about…

thanks for the help, im still deciding if its easier to transfer the M12 fitting to these new lines or to modify that adapter… since you only have one, i only have one shot at modifing it…

if you’re willing to drill it for me ill gladly pay you $15 shipped… since you’ve done it already… and if it leaks, it leaks… no problem ill take my chances…
Well, I’ve been trying to find my spare good one, and I don’t know wtf I did with it. I have one spare that is modified but didn’t look very good so I tried again…I wouldn’t feel comfortable selling you one that wasn’t good. Sorry. I’ll keep an eye out for the other good one, I know I still have it, but I have a ton of parts and tools now (my collection has grown quite a bit since I got the DA last year  ) …and it’s gotten mixed up somewhere.

If I do find it, and you’re still interested, I can send you both the unmodified one and the poorly modified one. You could use the bad one to practice on, or something like that.
i got one from sears. go to sears’ website and search for this number: 00947063000

it is on sale right now for $19.88.
you know after i posted i decided to run over to sears and low and behold, they had the kit you mentions. T
he only problem was it was a standard set, i took a piece of brakeline i cut in the junk yard for the fitting on it(in case i couldnt find the fitting:shrug:) and it was to big for the smalest hole and just small of the next one up(1/4 inch) was the kit you had for metric or standard and if it was the standard, did you have any problems:think:

i haven’t used it yet, but i got it on the recommendation of another person- i can’t remember if it was here or honda-tech. from what i was told, the 3/16 should have worked. i will go test fit mine now and if it doesn’t, i am taking it back.

yeah let me know.

:tsk:

this post says the line is 4.75mm, which is closest to 3/16" (4.7625mm)

Since we are on the subject of line size. what size line did you guys use for the 2, six inch extenstions.:hmm:

well here is another question since my other one didnt get awnsered.

Did you guy remove the speed sensors on the front stearing nuckels. i noticed the the pass side has a plug that went strait to the abs resivoir.

I figure since it goes strait there and dosnt need to go through anythings else(mainly the ecu) that i should just pull them.

i pulled the sensors. no point in leaving them in there. now i have to find the correct plug to fill the holes.

as for the line size, i am just going to use the left overs from the ABS system. might as well. sorry, i can’t get to g2ic from work…

Thanks… I’m actually doing the conversion right now and I was going to remove the m10 fitting and flare a m12 on there but i noticed that the line is bent abruptly so there is no room to get the flare tool in there…

I dont know what to do, can i bend the line straight, by hand, flare the fitting and then bend it back to fit the MC?

if you find those adapters it would make this easier so I would appreciate it… thanks

it would be much much much safer for you to just buy a new line and replace the whole hardline than to try bending/rebending over and over again. the hardlines are pretty much meant to be bent once and left alone. it weakens them a lot, usually to the point of cracking/breaking, if you bend more than once.

that makes sense… thats what i’ll do… thanks for your input

anyone know if its ok to cut all the pink plugs and those relays that sit on the pass side of the engine bay?

I didn’t cut mine, I just wire-tied them out of the way, but I supposed you could. Make sure you tape up the ends to prevent a short. I’m not sure about the relays, you will need to study your wiring diagram before you cut anything out, to make sure you’re not removing something that’s not ABS-related. This is why I just left mine alone (also, they weigh next to nothing). There are some more ABS plugs over by where the radiator fan plugs are.

i want to cut them because i dont like the way they look there… ill look over the diagrams… thanks

Bah who cares how it looks… Don’t listen to me though, I think wire tucks are stupid.

Does anyone know if the g1 integra proportioning valve will work? I know it will fit but i guess im asking if it puts less pressure to the rear because of the g1’s drum brakes.

My bad i forgot the g1 had discs in the rear.

back from the past.

Has anyone made a list of parts and steps that are needed to do this swap out?

My ABS system is done!!! just a waste of space now.
Anyone in the central Florida area that has done this swap, succeeded, and would want to walk me through it?

Thanks in advance

-Jeff

Back on page 7 is my pretty diagram that shows most of it. Here’s the long and short:

40/40 prop valve from non-ABS teg
front brake lines from non-ABS teg
rear brake line extensions of some sort about 6" long
brake line adapter fitting M10x1 female to M12x1 male

You will keep your original brake booster and master cylinder, or replace both. If you get the BB/MC from a non-ABS teg then you don’t need the adapter fitting. However this is the much more difficult path as removing the BB is probably a bitch.

Pictures and other information are all throughout this thread. If you really want to do it just read the thread, that’s what I did to get all the info I needed. If you have specific questions post 'em.
