Pics of your Turbo setup !

I’m running quite a bit smaller turbo. GT30R, .63 hot side, .60 cold side

bert3734 holy fuck batman i just shit myself

bert your collector is fucking huge on that mani, and btw i want to see that car before i leave detroit in august so lemme know when your breaking her out!!

To Bert…

HOLY FUCKING TURBO LAG BATMAN!!! I think your dyno graph might look like this
1k…2k…3k…4k…5k…6k…7k…8k…9k…

Besides that… It will be fucking awesome!!!

And why did you go from a 3inch outlet and up size to a 4-5 inch downpipe?

I know its gonna be a turd off the line, but I still have 100-150 shot of nitrous too. Soo the nitrous i will help get that big bitch movin.

If I would have stayed with 3" all the way through it would create a lot of pressure. The 4" helps out a lot.

On the other hand, cash flow is a little low, sooo until I can sell some shit, and make some more money the project will be moving slowly. I still need a clutch, intercooler, fuel system, and misc. odds and ends.

hey Bert is there two nsx’s behind that turbo or im i seeing things

Yeah, a 4in exhaust might be a good idea especially if you have emissions and you need to run a cat. We have no emissions here so i can straight pipe it. <big grin> So, yeah. Can’t wait to see that in man, it’ll be crazy!

I would like to see that dynosheet after you {bert3734} complete the build and tune.

I will post up pics and dyno sheets when its finished. I just hope the tranny makes it through the dyno pulls

Honda transmissions can take a beating.

Hell ya they can  Mines holding up great with jsut an LSD. Cutting 12.51’s on drag radials at low boost. High bosot should be low 12’s. slicks sohuld be low to mid 11’s. full weight teg

But I will be putting down about 700 + hp, and my third gear doesn’t sound really great right now.

…but we will see how long it holds out.

DAMN!! those are some big numbers bert! please tell me u dont own both those nsx’s

hey bert like i said befor are the nsx’s your

Hey bert, what size slicks are you planning on running?

But I will be putting down about 700 + hp, and my third gear doesn’t sound really great right now.

…but we will see how long it holds out.

good luck with the trans… i have a couple friends with 700+hp setups and busted a couple trannies… one on the dyno, another at the track… the one on the dyno exploded on a 4th gear pull… Good luck with it

buy a scatter shield just to be safe, and hope it doesnt take out the dowels on the bell housing, because then the block is fucked.

No the NSX’s are not mine. They are my friend’s, one of which is turboed.

Thats what I heard about high horsepower motors with stock trannies … they rip the shit out of the gears. There is a guy with a similar setup that only gets about 8 passes with each tranny (he ending up winning Nopi Nationals).

Slicks I have yet to even think about, only because I having been trying to plan for an intercooler set up. A friend of mine was telling me how good Micky Tompson (sp?) new drag radials are. Sooo I think I may get some for the street.

Anyone know how big slick of a slick can we cram under our well?

you mean the MT ET Streets? Those are pretty good. I run the BFG drag radials on the street. 225/45/17. Which is a 25" tall tire. Doesn’t fit that well. but gets the job done. How much power are you looking to be making on the street?

No they weren’t ET’s. I think they are these Mickey Thompson® Sportsman S/R. I will ask him again when I see him.

As for power on the street, I didn’t know there was a difference between street power and strip power. (jk) :naughty:

I will probably keep the boost at like 25 psi on the street with no spray, but I have been known to lie.
