Rate your exhaust!!!!

does anyone know the weight of the tunabe hyper medallion vs other exhausts? i’ve always been under the impression that tunabe made lightweight exhausts. Also, what are you guys noticing as far as power with these exhausts? how free flowing are they?

yes, the tanabe hyper medallion is LIGHT 44 pounds, the stock exhaust was heavy, and yes i feel the power in mid range, and now my cd player pops out when i shift mad hard to 2nd now lol, so yes there is a power increase

Espelir JGT500 Catback
Cheap Ebay Hi-Flow Cat/Resonator

Fitment of Espelir: 9/10. Fit very well, had to pick up one hanger piece i needed.
Looks: 10/10. I love how it looks, and still is shiny as the day i got it.

Loudness:
Idle-2/10. It just purs, can barely hear it unless ur standing right by the muffler.
Regular city/town driving: 4/10. Not loud, but noticeable.
WOT: 7/10. It sounds mean. I’ve had lots of compliments on how mean and how some think my car sounds badass. My friend in his B16 crx says my car sounds awesome, and can hear it over his VTEC.
Highway: 4/10. Withstandable. I think i need to get a better hi flow cat. Lol.

RS*R Ex-mag Exhaust

Quiet being a 1 and Loudness being a 10:
Idle: 2. A little louder then stock, just a lil more deep

Cruising: 3-4. Going from 0-35 its pretty deep with the loud note. At higher rpm’s its quieter but deepr and more agressive.

WOT: 7-8. Nice and deep!

In car (notice how the intake over takes the exhaust noise)

I posted earlier about the former “no muffler” setup. Since then have went with a custom axle back setup. Intake is a custom designed setup utilizing the stock airbox, 3" silicone brake ducting, a fabricated vacuum/air line adapter (from 3" alumninum tubing), and an inline 3" to 2.75" silicone intercooler reducer sleeve. Looks like this:

Muffler is a 2" Magnaflow and looks like this under the car:

The setup basically sounds like this (sounds a little different because these are at ~1 mile altitude at a roadcourse Colorado, also the recording makes it sound flat when it is much clearer and cleaner sounding):

External

Internal

It’s loud…but not a nuisance unless you rev it up. Keep it in high gear and out of the throttle for around town and everything is at a good level.

no exhuast tone but its loud and makes power…i guess its ok:P

i just bought an ex mag… don’t buy one… there pieces of shit.

mine hits my shifter and they didn’t give me lock washers so it rattles loose every 5 minutes it also didn’t come with enough bolts.

seriously im pissed i wasted money on this thing.

3" Borla Exh / Muffler

All beef no rice. doesnt sound like a fart cannon - best exhaust Ive heard on an import.

Loudness at average RPM: 7

Full throttle : 7 ( Fairly quiet with turbo )

MattyG2 i dont know why but i dont have any sound in your two first video’s. is there a way to get them in another format?

^^^i know someone selling one but dont know how it sounds like…so far from what i’ve read it sounds good and what i’m looking for…

i’ve been thinking of just buying a universal dynomax or flowmaster muffler and ending it with a daul tip to try to get that stock look…

Did anybody install a greddy evo muffler, the one that goes on the DC integras? I plan on getting one but not too sure how to place it. Like this one.

home made intake!!!

i have a bosal exhaust iono what its brand name is but sounds louder that stock

91 LS (stock)

Buddy Club Spec 3 Muffler (2.25 inch inlet)
Custom 2.25 inch mandrel bent piping
Generic test pipe from muffler shop
18 inch resonator

My shiet sounds so clean. The resonator really took the ricey-ness out of the BC muffler. It’s loud in the higher rpms, but I love it. My friend said it’s an 8/10, so I’ll do the same…

there is like 16 pages here so i dont wana read through al of them…can somebody give me an opinion on whats the best ebay exhaust would be…mostly im looking for nice deep sound…or maybe a brand exhaust thats cheaper than 500 bucs…i dont wanna spent more than 200 (with shipping lol)

$DA-DRIVER$: I say look for a used greddy locally. If you do buy a cheap ebay muffler you would need to get a resonator to make the muffler sound deep. If not it will be all raspy.

i dont wana buy an ebay mufler…i wanna buy the whole catback exhaust. i already have a mufler and its lil raspy thats the whoe reason y i wanna buy a catback.

Well I think with the catback piping it will only make the raspy noise get worse because it would be a wider pipe. Just get one made at a local shop.

that will be waaay over 200$ to get once custom made…and how would a catback exhaust make a car sound graspy with a nice highflow cat u and good headers it should sound nice…
