this is a daily/fun car right? you have something else? i dont see why not. i can see myself at the end of next year going turbo, because i plan to have another vehicle possibly
I also have a 2000 3.5RL
But still, right now I’m trying to get the car looking good, and it runs great right now. I don’t need any turbo maintenance or turbo related issues to arise while I’m working on other aspects of the car.
I can see it already…saving up $$$ to paint the car, and whattya know? Oil leak from the turbo. Or car is overheating now, or all of a sudden I lose compression in a cylinder.
No thanks. Not right now. I’ll wait till later down the road and if I decide to go back down that road…I’ll build a motor specifically for it.
I hope your going to rebuild that turbo, the compressor wheel look Haggard, all the chips etc. Keep up the good work!
Thanks but I don’t think you even read anything. And the fins have small cut outs on the tips of them, but there’s zero shaft play. It works fine.
So no updates as of right now. I got stuck digging deep into my savings to completely landscape my front yard because my HOA was going to start fining me weekly for my dead lawn (that the renters ruined well before I bought the house). So I dropped a pretty fucking penny on a full crushed granite yard. I might as well put those pics up since that’s where some of my project money went lol.
Before
AFTER:
ANYWAYS, now that the yard is done I can kinda get back on track. I still need a hood and 92-93 front bumper. I plan on getting her resprayed in August.
I also have a deal in place for my RPF1’s. I’ll post pics of the new wheels when they get here.
Build is coming along nicely…
so they allowed you to put down granite instead of grass? dope…sucks they try to fine you…i wont be buying into a development if i get a house, shit is ridiculous
Maybe it’s just my area or my inexperience in developments, but I’ve never heard of that. Sucks man, what a pain.
I live in Arizona man, rock yards are actually the norm. My house was one of I’d say…10 out of the whole subdivision that had grass lawn, and a grass backyard as well. MOST have rock front and back.
I was able to get the back lawn back to life after dumping a few hundred in supplies…but the front would have just taken too much work so crushed granite was my choice. I like it because everyone else in my area has that reddish color rock, and we have granite so it still separates our home from the others.
Thanks man…it’s been slow now just because the next few steps are major ones…turbo install/tune, and paint. And yes, I’m still going to boost but I’ll be using a different setup.
housing developments/apartment complexs with HOA’s suck ass, i’ve heard about their picky-ness, easy to say i will never live in a place that will tell me what color i can paint my house or what i can have over my front door, etc. EFF THAT…i pay the mortgage, not the HOA. then you have to pay HOA fees and if you dont do what they like, they fine you on top of that…smh

Dude you’re telling me. I moved here from Southern California…and tarantulas, centipedes, scorpions, and snakes are NOT my fucking thing. Just a month ago a huge centipede ran under my couch and I haven’t been able to find that motherfucker since. I still sleep with one eye open because of that. And to top it off, that same day some baby snake was on my porch. I felt bad after, but I killed it. I don’t know shit about snakes and I have two kids so I approach these situations with a kill first, ask questions later mentality.
But to be honest, where I live there are not many critters to worry about. That was the second centipede I had seen since moving here 7 years ago. Was also my 2nd snake encounter, and I’ve seen 1 scorpion and 3 tarantulas…but the scorpion was down in the valley (Phoenix area). I live up North now at a mile high elevation so it’s out of the desert for the most part. More of a surrounding forest landscape with more of a California climate. No 120 degree days without cooling off. It gets to about 100 at the most, and will always cool down to the 70’s during Summer.
Phoeniz area was a BITCH. 115 degree days, and it would NOT cool off at all! I’m the type that likes to enjoy a cold beer on my back patio during summer nights, and you just couldn’t do that in Phoenix, you’d be sweating your ass off at 1am because it’s still 105 degrees.

wtf? lol
Ya, And I love his concrete fortress in the backyard. I just took a trip to his place and I think he should remove that little canopy in his backyard. Also did a virtual tour inside his house. I like the floor plan. (Crazy much)
So as I was there I took a look at your nieghborhood. Love the Quailwood greens golf course nearby and the Prescott country club. MMM I’ll think I’ll take up residence there. I take it you son goes to Bradshaw middle school? Wait he looks too young. He looks 2 years old.
Haha . Hey man JK. Google maps is awesome. Anyways nice house. I long for a house like yours. Its probably not as much as my townhome which was 350k back in 2005. Now its worth 200k.
