I added you as a friend. Nice teg

thanks.

update, i just ordered the exhaust (Greddy SP2) a few minutes ago. scheduled to be shipped from their warehouse within 7 days. should receive it 5 days after its shipped. so hopefully in around 2 weeks i’ll have my new exhaust.

Nothing like the smell of burning excess exhaust gasket on a brand new GReddy.

I remember buying the old SP1 back in 2000 for my CB7 Accord. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. :giggle:

lol, i have a CB7 accord :giggle:

need to put a transmission in it though :frowning:

i live in oregon where it rains all the time . i would say go with a tanabe hyper medalion ive had my full cat back for over a year and love it and the sound i very quite perfect for daily driving

Fuck hollow cats! Too loud; loss of bottom-end torque. No good for the street.
Just wanted to put that out there.:getsome: :manual:

GReddy SP2:

Looks: 10/10 VERY well constructed piece
Fitment: 9/10 only one small hanger issue with my installation, took A minute to correct
SOUND:
(0-silent/10-Might as well be open header lol)
idle: 1/10
casual acceleration: 3/10
hard acceleration: 4/10
cruising: 2/10
highway speed: 2/10

RS*R Exmag Stainless Steel Version.

With 0 being silent and 10 being the loudest:

Idle: 1
Cruising: 3
Highway: 2
WOT: 5

Has the nice deep tone going through the gears and sounds aggressive as hell!

I love the RSR and will never buy another exhaust for my teggy

ExMag SP2 comparison

Here’s my personal experience with both brands over 5 years:

Greddy SP2 & RS*R ExMag: no fitment issues whatsoever

Side by side comparison, the SP2 was slightly louder from idle to 3k, then both sounded about the same.

~4 years (and 4 super salty chicago winters) later:

RS*R - surface rust around the flange welds, some on piping and muffler. Some exposed metal spots on muffler where black paint had flaked off. My friend resprayed the piping and canister flat black and the whole thing looked new again. Exhaust still was maybe only slightly louder than it used to be.

SP2 - Surface rust spots on piping, muffler, and at the flange welds. ***But, the pipe inside the SP2 muffler WASN’T stainless, and that rusted terribly. First it rusted through the welds that held it in place between the tip and the entry pipe. Then all the sound deadening material blew out the muffler. Now, after about a year (5 years total) the whole tip is coated in rust dust and the car sounds like it has a handfull of 12mm nuts and bolts vibrating around inside the rear muffler with a heat shield thrown in for luck.

If I did it again I would have gotten the RS*R.

Specs:
1997 Integra LS DC 4-1 stock cat, Greddy SP2
1995 Civic B20 megan 4-1 omni test pipe RS*R ExMag

I just got the RS*R exmag GTII. It is tits. Cant be any happier. Love how the routing does not follow the factory routing, and I can actually tell a big difference between this and the old cat-back. Only thing was where the 2 peices slip together there are 4 small springs with hooks on the end of them. They are extremly stiff and even though I only had to pull them about 2 inches it was a struggle for me and another guy to strech them that far. Only a couple of bends from the cat and they are right around 10 degrees. Sounds so good for not having a resonator after the cat either. Not raspy in the slightest. Everyone that has ridden in or been around my car always tells me how good it sounds. I highly highly recommend this catback to anyone. I think they discontinued it though, I could be wrong but that was what I was told, but there was a site that had a couple left. Not the one that has the pics though. Oh and the welds look awsome.

Here is a pic of it, though not on my car but you will get the idea of the routing.

To the people with the RS*R Ex Mag, especially those with GS-R or B16 swaps, what it’s like cruising on the hwy?
I really don’t want something that’s going to be loud and droney.

Greddy All The Way

I think rsr is too loud I was so happy with the GREDDY exhuast. its not loud or as loud as the annoying other exhuasts out there. my RSR was loud even with the silencer and the apex is even worse but probaly flows better but forget that GREDDY knows whats up…
