SortaFlush's DA Build

They are “okay” with the minor bolt ons. They are like a b16 down low, they have to be in VTEC to be moving. I wouldn’t consider them fast, however. BUT, they do love boost and make ungodly amounts of power very easy.

OMG, Mike. you sir have great taste! that teg is stupid clean:up: welcome to the board:wave:

I appreciate it, sir.

I can’t wait for another photoshoot since I have done more things to it lately…as well as many more to come. I’m doing EK sides (if I don’t like them, they are coming right off), a front lip and I’m going to build a rear diffuser out of aluminum(not those stupid holes in bumper)

so ummmmm i think im going to come to your house and take your wheels hope its okay with you :D. o yeah and welcome to g2ic!

Appreciate all the kind words.

I have a question however;

What’s the best Cable to Hydro conversion at a fair price? I bit the bullet. I’m starting a 4-500hp build…

hush22 makes a kit and suja1motoring makes one too. so you could use a clutch cylnder and slave

Where might I find their info?

I thought I was the only one that thought this. the last picture definitely looked like a legend.

ther website you can google it n find ther sites

I picked up the Hasport Mount conversion kit (all of the mounts) and the Hasport Cable to hydro conversion as well a couple weeks ago.

I am currently building another engine/turbo setup for it right now. Didn’t plan on building this car, but I can’t resist. Stay tuned for updates!

I love your car with the new wheels! It looks so badass!

SortaFlush’s DA Build

Hello everybadyyyyyyy. Recently, I joined this forum and posted an intro which can be found pages and pages away. For those of who still don’t know me, I am Mike. I’m from Virginia Beach and I am building a DA Integra (My beater). I sold a bobber that I built and wanted an everyday commuter car, that was stock and reliable. So, I bought my 1990 Acura Integra GS;

As you can see. It was lowered (poorly/ebay sleeves front, s2 springs rear) and gay headlights. So I said to myself, I want my car too look good atleast, if it’s going to be a daily driver.

Next day in changed headlights:

Couple weeks in:

New wheels/Yonaka coilovers (sold the Yonaka’s two weeks shortly after installing)

Within a month, obvious exterior mods are able to be seen here in a few photos I had my friend Jared Houston shoot:

Well, that wasn’t enough. So I did:

-Rear wiper delete
-Rear antennae delete
-Rear wing delete
-Lower on function and forms
-Carbon Fiber Rear Visor installed (courtesy of my GF for a birthday present)

Okay. So far, it’s not bad for a beater. Right?

Well…

As of this weekend 02/19/2012 this is how she is sitting:

(The 05 car in the first picture, is a Legends car I race)

I’m getting the engine bay ready for paint. It’s going to get painted the same green as my diesel truck.

After the engine bay is painted, this is what I have to replace the LS with:

Some may ask why, if this is just your beater. I have many reasons of why, some of which to promote my work, satisfy my friends who know me better than to just leave anything stock and to have an enjoyable setup. For those curious the setup details are:

B18C1 bored to 84mm with AEBS Sleeves
Endyn Roller Wave 9:1 Pistons
Crower Rods
Golden Eagle Headstuds
Skunk2 Stage 3 cams
Mild port and polish (probably going to go a little more extreme)
Crower stainless valves +1
Crower Valve springs and retainers
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
FIC 1050CC Injectors
Bosch 300lph fuel pump
HKS GT2835R turbocharger
HKS GT 60mm Wastegate
HKS GT Intercooler
HKS SSQV Blow off valve
Hondata S300
SAVCR Boost controller
Tomei Wideband
GSR transmission with LS fifth gear

List goes on.

So much for a beater, huh?

when you get building and playing with a car its so hard to keep it stock, and not do more, awesome job sir!!!

Gee wiz, I wish I can build my daily beater like that. I will be monitoring your build with great interest, I’m excited for you! So how long do you estimate your DA will be in surgery for? Some peoples projects take awhile to build on just their hobby car. Seeing this is your daily beater, progress has been instant since you featured the “COoKiE MoNsteR beater”(the color just made me think of the sesame street character, one taste of the DA cookie and you want more!).

I appreciate it man. None of my builds really take me very long, I’m usually quick and efficient with them. I’m just waiting on my friend to paint my engine bay is all, that’s what the hold up is.

I am daily driving my turbo diesel right now, so I mean I have a daily driver, I just bought the Integra to save on fuel, yet I just spent more on parts then I would have in fuel for 2 years driving my diesel hahaha.

that intercoler is massive. have fun stuffing that thing into the core support…

great build man!! :corn:

I know right. LOL. However, it’s not my first time doing it either  and I have more than plenty tools at my shop to make the task an easy feat. This is Honda #36 for me and car #39 total.

Man I wish I had a shop like that. Great build. It’s amazing the transformation those wheels did for your ride. Great choice really sets it off right!

Very nice engine set you have there. =)

Look forward to seeing a video!
