I like this build!! Props on the wheel choice, def something that you don’t see everyday. I’m biased, but man I love the color. What are you HP goals with that block and gt2835r? How much boost? I’m def in for updates.

I’m actually missing it big time right now! It’s just sitting in my shop waiting for my friend to paint the engine bay.
As far as power goals.
I’ll be happy with 360-400. Honestly, because I’m slammed and won’t be able to utilize more (I don’t want to raise it up either). If I get the itch for more power, I’ll take this turbo off and put it on my 240 and get a bigger turbo. However, I think the 240 wants me to build it’s SR…its getting a little jealous haha.

This is the bay so far, removed some of tape so you can see outside paint to engine bay (It’s going to “pop” a lot more once I lay clear on it)

This is the first time I ever painted using an actual HVLP spray gun. No booth either. I will get a sunlight photo today! Now next task is wire tuck and brake line tuck :X
This is a very cool project. Paint looks pretty good. Is that a reflection or did you get over-spray on the motor??

I see what jdecks23 is saying the motor looks like it has a green tint in the photo. The green looks sweet in the bay. Nice job.
Oh, I see. No, that’s just the lighting in the shop. If a customers car wasn’t behind mine, I would push it out of the bay and take a photo while there’s still some light out. Guess I’ll do that in the morning. Thanks!
Slowly making progress;
It’s coming together, as I have time. Working 50 hours a week while also racing legends cars is tough! Sometimes I question why I did this to my beater. D:. lol
why didnt u take fenders off to paint it? woulda came out better in my opinion.
didn’t cross my mind until after the fact. However, you aren’t going to see whats under the fenders anyway, so I don’t know what the difference is.

Yes and no. It’s a 7.3L not the 6leaker. Right now, I am daily driving it. Just dyno’d it last night too haha.

Thanks, yes I am using extended top hats. I need to switch the fronts out to my new ones since I was lazy and didn’t take these out when I painted.

Well, honestly, It’s still going to be a “beater” just an…more extrodinarily awesome and reliable beater. LOL. Thanks for your kind words! I wish I had a lot more time so I can get on here more frequently
