that turbo has the same specs as the volvo and sabb turbos. Its pretty much what they call a straight t3. Right around the size of a t25/t28 but maybe a hair bigger. If you want to be average go with a basic t3/t4. If not you will be one step below the other turbo’s guys but the straight t3 is a good foundation. but dont expect any more than say 230whp around 10psi or so. great turbo if your just looking to say " Yeah I have turbo". and throw around some braging rights.
Function 7 on ebay is where you will find the oil restrictor.
thank you very much. but ii wont be needing any turbo advice for a while now. im focusing on gettin my new suspension(tokico illuminas, H&R race springs), and get this new long block motor(then ill be ready for focusing on turbo).
go to a junkyard and find some volvos and get their 42/48 turbo off of it. while ur there try and find a gsx, gst, rx7, starion, conquest, etc and get some injectors too
Yea thats the bdget way. thts what im probably gonna do. buy a volvo turbo, dsm injectors n the srt4 intercooler. then everything else will be stuff brand new.
Buying this turbo next week…from a friend $150…brand new…gonna run an function 7 oil restrictor and tell you guys how it goes once my kit is done in about 2 months…haha im gonna take my time…
Just ordered my stealthmode oil line kit $85. Tial 38mm wastegate is in the mail be here tomorrow. And, buying my intercooler right after school for $80 brand new eBay intercooler.
Just need charge pipes and downpipe. Then Im gettin it chipped w/ a basemap and drive it like that for a few days til it is time for tuning. So, I’ll be done in a week or two.
