also he has the manifold forsale still.

I made 450whp on pump gas with a SS Autochrome manifold at 15psi. I know I could have made close to 600whp if I put in some Race gas (C16) and turned up the boost past 20psi. If the manifold is braced properly I don’t see any problems. Problem is too many people post without experience and jump on bandwagons further slamming products they have not tried personally. Goeff at FullRace commended the manifold on Hondatech for its performance not construction. But if it was braced properly he agreed it would be a good piece to have. Here are my pics of my manifold braced.

I am out of the import scene now, but I am selling my complete turbo setup. See the Forsale section in Canada for details. I am giving it away.

there ya go pimp. The ssac t3/t4 57 trim turbocharger. I will keep in contact with ya

ok cool. and how do you get the pics on the screen like that without a link?

ditto^
Also, whoever bought that ssac mani, did it come with a dp? Mine did and it would require me to face the turbo the other way. Since it doesnt fit the way they intended, I was thinking about facing my turbo the way you have it pictured there and just mod the DP to make it fit.

  1. right click the picture.
  2. click properties
  3. the copy and paste the image in between [IMG][IMG] which is the insert image icon

ok i see i can do it now. thanx meet07

dont use their manifold without bracing it with extra welds. my buddy running 10psi for 3 days cracked his. his turbo’s holding up tho and i was thinking of strapping it up to mine to test it out and their wastegate holds boost…i’m running their intercooler too and it gets the job done but i’m only running 10psi

were not tralking about their old manifold were talking about their new one that is pictured. above. so is that the one you are referring to when your friend had his problem with cracking or is it the old one?

I think im about to order the super T70 thats going with my turbo project. And there 46mm wastegate.

hey meet07, keep us updated on what you get and the peformance of the ssac stuff. also what manifold you going to use?

that manifold doesnt look half bad, I was actually looking at this and thinking if were strong or not? how do those manifolds hold up? any problems?

regarding the ssac samples sent to hmt, it wouldn’t surprise me if they had that turbo balanced, or any of the parts custom “refined” for public viewing and praise.

i dunno man, the debate has been beaten to death so i’m not going to repeat it, but at this point in my life i don’t have the time, patience, or money to deal with the hassle, nor would i inflict it on anyone i know. i guess as you grow you learn to be patient and make wiser decisions, otherwise you learn the hard way…

well Im probably not going to use the SS manifold. But im keeping my drag III mani and im bolting up a adapter plate and blocking of the wastegate hole on the runner. Due to that and the bigger turbo I may have to get a half size radiator. But the turbo project probably wont be done until winter or spring.

For all of the above pictures, that is Drupie51013 (Vee), BJ, and me. The kit was VERY basic and cheap. We used the SSAC mani, Ebay T3/T4 (.57 I believe), CCA Intercooler, stock injectors, and I welded the piping and downpipe. The kit went on V’s 99 EK for about 1.5 months. It held up very well with no cracks on the manifold at all. The turbo flowed very well and suprised all of us. The dyno was a Dyno Dynamics curtesy of 1320 C-Seng. The third pull made 210whp and 197ft. lbs of torque as stated. All of this was done one a BONE STOCK 95 LS motor w/ B16 tranny. No tuning at all and on an FMU. These pulls were at 6lbs. using a TiAl wastegate. The reason he pulled it off to sell it was because he wanted something different thus sold his car. As far as our experiences with SSAC. Two thumbs up. I don’t think he could have been happier. I just wished he would have kept the car so we could compare SSAC to his lil bro’s Full Race kit on a B16. This was just to clear up any confusion there might be. Let me know if you have any questions.

BTW the owner of the dyno said the Dynamics dyno reads about 13% lower than dynojet. If that is true, V made almost 240whp on 6lbs with an fmu. Not bad at all if you ask me.

Chris

my friend just bought a used kit. He was not well informed, his manifold cracked from everywhere !! he didnt braced it, now he’s suffering
