hey chris hope ya didnt mind me taking the pics from hmt. i was just trying to help the thread. and how is storms car running now did yall get that cam working right. what was wrong if you have found it out yet. and also i just bought me a da today torino red. its a 91. let me know if you have anything forsale.

also i was wondering on ssac t70 would it have to much lag to run it on stock internal b16. or would the higher rpm range get it to fully spool and flow good and put down some nice numbers? will be running around 10lbs of boost.

i guess it’s possible they could improve their products… but that would take a cut out of their profits. how moral or immoral are they now, and by how much - who knows…

maybe a good test would be to document one of their turbos being balanced…

why do the bov’s fail? i would think the diaphragm material…

No worries about the pics. Storm is picking up an LS to put in it right now. Don’t know if the motor is shot or not, but he just doesn’t want anymore downtime. Anyway, I finally got the car back together about 1.5 weeks ago and someone backed into it today at the grocery store. I may just try to sell it again, IDK.

How much does it cost to buy a brace like that for the manifold? I was planning on buying ss kit too and buying a tier wastegate just for saftey purposes(don’t want to risk blowin my engine up). I have the welder and the stuff to program the fuel/air ratio. This thread was really useful.

You can buy the material to brace the manifold at Lowes or Home Depot. They sell flat strips of thick steel. I forgot how much I paid for mine.

dam that sucks man how much you want? i just bought a 91. if i knew it was going back up for sale i might of held off and bought it if the price came down on it cause the damage. but that does suck cause that was a nice looking car. and do you have anything for sale. also i cant wait till storm has his done. maybe we can race next summer when mine is done. ( or this winter if i get lucky to finish it.)

anybody have a answer to my question on the t70.?

I plan on putting it on my stock b16 with GSR cams. Ill be running a drag manifold. I was told that it hits full boost around vtec engagement…PERFECT!!!
Cant wait to feel what the T70 brings.

yeah meet07 what size waste gate you going to be running i was just curious if the tial 38mm would work to get 300whp.

I think it will but I too am researching around. The turbo came with a 46mm but I beleive the spring is a 11psi?? But I think the 38mm will work just find.

the 46mm is a 7.8psi spring. Correction!!

ok i think i will go with the t70 with 38mm. but meet07 when you get yours running with the t70 let me know, cause im not quit ready yet to boost so just let me know how the t70 runs.

Just reading up on turbos and this thread has helped me out alot. If I was to get the SSAC turbo setup for daily driving with not that high of a boost, just good enough to feel the extra power, which SSAC ebay setup do you guys recommend? Also, is it just a straight bolt on or do I need to do some upgrades to my internals? What else do I need besides the turbo setup? Thanks in advance for any suggestions…

get t3t04e 57trim. and you dont have to upgrade internals. but you do need to upgrade fuel system. so do alitle more searching around before you just start buying stuff.

I’m having 50/50 thoughts of buying those kits from ebay. I’ve been reading this and there’s like half bad and half good. I do not want to lose my ps/ac unit and be able to have no more than 9psi which is more than enough for daily driving car. I already got venom high flow fuel pump and bigger injector on the car right now. Also the ECU has JETS chip which is programmed for my all motor set up. I think I’m all ready for turbo to be installed in it. I see they stated that the compressor needs to be modified? What type of modification do I need to do on the compressor? I’m sure I will need to put in half radiator and one fan. Sorry for all the question this place seems to be the best place to ask for help. I appriecate it guys:)

best place to ask for help for sure is Honda-Tech. As far as the compressor???what are you talking about?? Does jet even make anything compatible with Yutbo and hondas??

Cool I will check out honda-tech… on the list on ebay they stated that a/c compressor will need to be modified to make it work? I couldn’t understand what exactly they are talking about. I got the chips from JETS and they asked me what kind of modification I had on the car… then have it shipped to JETS inc. for them to program in the chip. I can have the reprogram them for turbo. I am not sure what CC I got for the injector I got everything from summit racing equipment they were venom brand so I’m not sure what cc’s they are. It just said upgrade that’s all I know.

I looked in summit racing online and found out the injector I got is 260 CC which seems to be more than enough for the turbo. Pump is 10-15% more flow than OEM. JETS inc. will be able to tune the chip for the turbo at 9psi so I’m looking good for the turbo? speaking of radiator I will HAVE to put in half radiator than full size right? and only one fan will be used in it? Sorry for all the question just want to be positive on it before spending 900-1000 on the kits.
