ok i searched for hours on end and i cant find any1 that has a dyno graph of a t25 on a stock b18 at all, im tryin to find a dyno to show as proof what type of power can be made with this turbo, i got a deal on 1 (but its not off a 2g eclipse) great condition, dsm 450s 1g bov and a fmic for 150 and i cant turn it down at all, so im just tryin to see what kind of power this makes and at what rpm it falls on its face. im gonna run 7-8 psi and maybe turn it up to 10 for some fun but this is my first turbo project soo im just tryin to c how it is soo all insight would b nice
dam nobody can even give any insight at all if some1 can help me out a lil and let me kno what i should expect for this it would b very helpfull and i only drive my car 2 and from work which is only 15 miles aways from my house and take it out on the weekends if i feel like it. so0o0o can some1 please give me some thoughts
this would be a gas killer, you would be under boost all the time. It may be worst than the 48/42, full boost at probabbly 2500-3000rpm and would most likely choke at 5500-6000. It is way too small. You would most likely barely go over 200 hp with a stock b18a/b at 8psi. Over all I think it would be fun to drive because of the fast spool, very ‘‘torqy’’:ohyeah: Checkout http://g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=145118&highlight=42%2F48
you dont know what your talking about…i have a t25 with a stock b18 on 7psi …no disrespect but dont talk out of you a** it just adds to the false info on the web…
no it wont kill gas, you get about 200 hp at the wheels, its fast, fun, and matches the balance of the car. Spools quick but smooth and is drivable on the highway, around town and even autocross. I highly recommend the setup, you get a fun boosted car with some decent power for a good price. and unlike the meatheads who think a t25 is “too small” you will actually be able to put the power to the pavement with some traction
im sorry if im hyjacking your thread but people on this board are very angry about creating new threads…
anyways i got a similar deal, its a T25 turbo off a CA18DET 180sx. planing on running the stock 7psi. got a b18a, and i might go with my bros b18b head in the summer. would this be a decent turbo for 200whp too?
a t25 is a t25…so yes that would also be a good setup for 200whp

Its the same fucking shit I said…I never said the car wont be fun to drive and I also said it has a quick spool.:mensa:
a:“this would be a gas killer” = false information
b:“you would be under boost all the time” = false information
c:“It is way too small. You would most likely barely go over 200 hp with a stock b18a/b at 8psi” = false information
do you happen to have a dyno graph of the t25 and what is you set up if you dont mind me asking
how much power would it make at 8 psi?? a bit over 200 right? and that thing is to small eventually people want more power, why not get a descent size turbo. When I said you would be under boost all the time I did not meant that literally…duh!
does any1 have a dyno sheet of a boost b18aq with the t25 or 14b, and if some who is runing that turbo let me kno their set up so i can figure out if i wanna go with either turbo. plz
i dont have a dyno sheet either, but i ran a turbo that was smaller than a t25 in my b18a…and i’d be at full boost at 4K it would pull nice at 10psi, i was able to smoke a wrx with mods, sr20det shit13(240sx s13) with a huge FMIC 3" turbo back exhaust, and a full tein suspension set up. all i know is that the turbo i had is smaller than a stock dsm turbo but it kicked ass…then i put in the 255fuel pump and it messed up my tune. so yea like the gsr guy said…you will eventually want more power which is why i went out and got a gt30r i just need to put it in
The turbo will make lil amounts of boost extremely fast. With my 2step program set at 5500 I could make 15 psi before launching.
Stock b18a1 10psi=around 250whp and like 220lbs.
Power dropped huge at 5300 due to the turbo maxing out.
I will put a dyno sheet up when I get a chance.
The whole dsm turbo thing is great for the street and decent for the track. It kinda sucks when your on the highway tho, cant really go past 17% throttle or the turbo will spool very quick.
I have ran a dsm setup on my integra for 2 years now, so I know what to expect. Anything over 14psi will just be blowing hot air so don’t try it. You will have full boost by 2000rpms. Make sure you know what your getting yourself into plumbing the lines( dsm turbos are oil and water cooled)
if im rite the it isnt nessasary to run the water cooling lines to the turbo b/c it i still cooled by the oil, if u dont mind me asking, whats you set up, and did you ever run the car at the track before
I do believe that the dsm turbos get most of the cooling from the coolant(theres alot more coolant then oil in the cartridge) Plus if you run all the lines you really don’t need to worry about a turbo timer.
My setup in the race season of 06 was this:
b18a1 motor remachined and bored .20 over all new OEM parts.
8lb flywhell,stage 3 clutch and pressure plate.
ss autochrome turbo manifold(rewelded)
16g turbo
custom downpipe with open dumptube
russell fittings and stainless braided line
dsm 450cc injectors
walbro 250lph fuel pump
obx 12:1 fmu
synapse missing link
homemade boost controller
solid front transmission mount( made me wheel hop more then anything)
apexi safc2
ebay big front mount
Everything else at the time was stock and my best time was 13.1@ 107-109 and a 2.0 60’ time. This was at 10-11psi
Race season of 07 things changed alot
same turbo kit except i ran a big 16g
Fully built block
still stock ls head
vortech 4:1 fmu
aem obd-0 plug and play
act 2900 clutch and 12 lb flywheel
dsm 450cc injectors
I had this setup tuned from 12 to 20 psi and turning the boost up didn’t really give to much horsepower. It wouldnt make anymore power after 5000rpm. Never had a chance to run it at the track this season due to 2 injectors failing on me at 20psi.
i dont have a dyno sheet, but similar setup, log manifold with a t25, 7psi, 450 injectors tuned on crome, around 200 at the wheels and I dont run water lines
If you don’t run the water lines dont expect the turbo to last due to burning out the seals.
wow just wow. :gtfo:
hmm. so i saw this and it’s pretty much what i’m looking for powerwise. but then i see you guys are boosting the stock engine and i have a b16a. I’m curious as to how this turbo would preform on the b16 in comarison to the stock engine or if i should just go t3/t4
^ Probably want to go bigger. They are talking about maxing out the turbo at 5000rpms.
B16 has an extra 1200rpms redline over an OBD1 LS motor, so you’d be maxed out way longer before your redline.
