Good to hear they got here all finished up. Im sure Rabi gonna be hitting me up for the picker any day now
Suki lives again! B20B pulls great.
Nice! Glad she’s up and running.
MUHAHAHAHAHA its ALIVE!!!
and Ive yet to see it:tapfing:
You saw it. Nothing special… Yet. Needs a ton of body work. I’m going to see one of these weekends if I can take a buffer and get the paint looking ok again.
Next upgrade for my car? Well, when I have enough money, it will be new rims (the stock ones won’t fit what I’m planning for brakes), tires, and Legend dual-piston calipers paired with single-piston brackets, with Mini cooper brake rotors and NSX pads.
Stopping power, anyone? Then maybe some Koni yellows and GC springs to finish it off.
Still need to do CV boots, tie rod ends, bushings, etc, but I’m thinking that if I get coilovers or do the Koni/GC setup, I’ll be ok with that. Add a swaybar, and I should be good to go for paint, or interior. Since warmer weather is starting back up, I might pull and wash the carpet. That shit is downright NASTY! :vomit:
I also need bumper mounting bolts. Most of it got lost when I had the car under the knife for like 4 months. Still trying to figure out what’s wrong with the headlight/bumper alignment. (Glynn, you know what I mean.)
cant say i recall but im down to take a look. from the sound of it, sounds like you need to put in some work in
Money problems for a bit. Wyoming SP seemed to think 100 was a bit fast to be crossing their fair state, so I have an extra $290 tax to pay for my carelessness. ><
Well, today I bid farewell to the Integra rather suddenly and sadly. I have no idea what caught fire, but the whole car burned. :bye::sad:
The Police and Fire Dept. were very helpful, if a bit late on the scene, but it burned so quickly, it seemed like forever. I was travelling at ~80 MPH, and heard a mechanical engine noise and pulled off the highway before realizing that my brakes were gone, and so I had to pull a hard right-hander at 144th AVE off of southbound I-25, and used the handbrake to stop the car, which by then had flames coming over the windshield.
Suki is a total loss, and one of the most heartbreaking. 2 years, $7,000, and countless long nights, blood, sweat, tears, and lot of love, and it burned out in less than 10 minutes, probably because of something stupid.
G2IC has been a great community, and full of amazing people who have helped me at every turn, thanks so much guys. I have too many other bills right now to get back into building another one right now, no matter what I want to do, so for the time being, this is goodbye.
Damn dude did not expect that to happen. At least you weren’t hurt. Kinda scared to start my build now. lol
Glad you are allright, with how quick it went up it you’re lucky to get away clean. Its weird how the brakes wen’t out on you and then you saw flames so you might’ve had a line fail or something. Very sorry for your loss my friend! My condolences and hope all is well.
Thanks guys. Yeah, the cops told me that if I hadn’t known how to hold a racing line and what to do to stop my car, I’d probably have been upside down in a burning car, and I’d likely have been killed.
Sad day for the teg, though.
Sorry to hear about this man, I wish you the best in whatever decision you make
Well, no updates except this: I am now in the market for a clean (as in no rust) shell, preferably a 92-93 in the Pennsylvania area to begin work on, or might be in for a clean daily driver that isn’t a bad starting point for another B20, or possibly a B18C. I prefer not to have a red one, because I LOVE black and blue, but I’m looking for anything reasonably priced that would pass PA inspection or a rolling shell to do work to, and drop in an engine.
CO peeps, it was fun, but I’m on the east coast, in PA now. Same number, for those that have it, for those that don’t, but want to, Glynn has it, or just ask me, and keep in mind I’m 2 hours later on the east coast. Always down for pics. Might be back at some point.
In summery, I’m really looking for some help to get back in the DA driver’s seat, looking for something clean, reasonably priced (sub $3,000 is probably best for a daily, under $700 for a shell, unless it’s REALLY nice), manual transmission only, DA or GSR in black, blue, or white, with no rust. Paint can be iffy, interior should be repairable, original is better than a ricer, don’t care about JDM.
It can need minor work, it can have mods done already, just no hack jobs, and it either has to pass inspection or be a solid place to start on a project (I can paint, do MINOR body work, interior, engine, transmission, etc.)
So if you’re on the east coast and know someone who has either a local shell (I’d have to tow) or a driver (Can drive it back), let me know.
Also, if anyone in CO (who are likely the only ones to get this) know of a good deal on a local to Denver area DA or GSR with lower miles that could make a 3,000 mile journey with minor modifications, please, dear god, let me know. I know I’m looking for a needle in a haystack, but I’m missing my DA more and more each day, so any help is awesome. I will also watch the for sale forum on here and browse locally.
glad you came out unhurt man!!! hope you find another DA and start again. best of luck to you.
Good to hear your getting back in the game man. Ill make it a point to stop out that way on my next east coast trip. My only advice, buy a car that hasent been on the coast line all its life, in fact buy its as far from the coast as you can.
Ive got your number and make sure to stay in touch:up:
First post this year.
So as for me, I went to PA, came back to CO, and am still without a DA.
I traced my problem back to a failed oil pump of the B20 swap. I bought it cheap, and I won’t be making that mistake again. Still in the market for a cheap DA that has a nice body at least. Found one, but the guy selling it refused to actually sell it. He wanted to trade for a Jeep. Story of my life.
Scanning Craigslist, keeping an eye out in other states even, but the time has really come for me to get a car again. I’ve had a 98 CRV for a bit, and finally made the decision to sell it, and the extra cash has put me in the market for a great Integra or something similar.
I really want another DA, but… Well, I’m picky. I want a 92-93, and I don’t really want a red one. I don’t want/can’t afford a basket case, and that’s all that seems to be for sale around me. So I’ll keep hunting.
Missing my DA more every day.
Been a long time since I 've seen or heard from any of the forum guys. Seems like a lot of guys are getting out of the DA game and moving on. Sad really.
Anyway, I’m just checking in and updating my stuff.
