i think im going to start tackling my 1 pieces this sunday if i can. Ive never done a clean/restore before so im nervous and excited at the same time. Hopefully they come out looking something similar to yours (i know yours are new and not reconditioned).
Thanks for the garage shot. Im just trying to figure out how to set mine up. i have two garage doors though instead of one large door so i have the center of the garage to do something with.
Good luck! I did a set earlier this year. Was going to do two sets since I had a loaner set from a friend while mine were apart but when I got busy I decided it was too much work. Not sure how much prep and research you’ve done but feel free to let me know if you have any questions, I know there were a couple things I found out along the way which I would have known right off the bat. At least for me I had that loaner set to I slowly refinished mine over the course of a month or two as I had time for it.

I think that’s even better. If I had that, that would be where those shelves would go, so that no one opens a door and bangs the other cars door. Reconditioning car parts is always fun. Atleast for me it is, I like to see the transformation.
Thanks. But there is still plenty of work to be done
car looks great by any change are you attending the da/db meet in February 02? would like to see this car in person.
EDIT: The painter who did your frontend should of sprayed the doors as well to do a blend and the difference in color wouldn’t have been noticeable. Its very close but you can still see the difference on the photos. The blend on the doors would of been a great way.

Yeah, I think I posted up on there somewhere, the painter who did the fenders really screwed things up for me. He ended up ruining one of the door moldings along with mismatching the colors. I didn’t know about that car meet, I’m kind of old for that stuff now, but ill take a look at it.
I read the post in which he installed a regular door molding instead of the thin jdm molding. I’m also wondering why didn’t he paint the bottom part of the fender. He must have sprayed undercoat or something on the lower section of the fender near the mud flap.

ps: I’m probably one of the few oldest guys in those meets.lol Most of the people are in there early 20’s
Would be awesome to see your integra there at the meet right besides mine and AFTERMATHS. Its a nice meet and greet for the love of 2nd gen da’s and db’s. Think about it
Damn, this thread kind of got me excited about DA’s again. I haven’t even looked at mine in months due to the snow. Also I’m a big fan of the Chemical Guys quick interior detailer. Some people can’t stand the smell but I love it haha.

Originally when I was explaining to him how I wanted the bumper done, he wanted to just paint it and not mask anything, so I had to dump it down. I said if it’s black, leave it black! and I think when he passed that on to the painter that rule was added to the fenders as well.
After thinking about it, I would probably have a pretty pissed off wife. I am already gone every other week for work so I think leaving for an event on our weekend would be bad news.
