what happened to Integra GS? I would be interested in his response to my previous posts.
You rang?
I’ve been reading the thread. I’ve just been mainly interested in the replies on the K in G2s.
I agree with all the other replies on K-motors.
:burnout:
First off wtf is this about having to make your own custom motor mounts for a k series in the DA?
Innovative already has them for both the 90-91 and 92-93 models for only $428.
http://www.innovativemounts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=99350
Hmotorsonline has the k20a type-r motor with 6 speed lsd tranny and ecu which is good for 220hp and 158tq for $5499
6-speed LSD Tranny 4.7 Final Drive (Y2M3)
- ECU (PRC) or (PRD)
- Stock Motor Mounts *
- Alternator
- Starter
- Clutch
- Flywheel
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold with downpipe
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- Coil Pack
- Engine Harness
- Half Shaft
- Shifter Cables and Shifter box (Add $150)
- Comes With All Sensors Needed
So now off the get go I will have +20hp and +24tq plus a 6 speed tranny and then also .2 more displacement which makes a difference when it comes to anything that adds HP with the k20 for $1000 more.
P.S. I am not a k series nut hugger, I just look at the facts
Thanks for giving me the pricing for this. I really didnt know how much it would’ve cost to do so.
And congrats that you’re gonna do this in another chassis. Seriously. I was mainly talking about k-swaps in G2 Integra’s.
So you’re going to spend between 8-10k once everything is said and done.
All this to say you have a Super K.
Hey man, hows you’re car doing? Any word if you’re going to get another g2?
I complete agree with your last sentence.
But since that wont happen for another few years, I will still say that with the prices of B’s nowadays, might as well stick with it. Lets say you do k-swap and you happen to blow the motor…willing to fork out whatever it cost to do it again? I know i wouldnt until its feasible for me to do so.
show me a B-Series that can make 220whp, 158TQ with just bolt-ons.* No internal work, reliable as any honda motor. Thats what i got mine for. I wanted to do simple bolt-ons, and make the power that the b-series guys make with high compression pistons and cams, port work, etc.
That moron with the K20 DA was clearly just a hardparker. he built that car for the nut huggers. not to drag race it. So the guy can’t drive, that doesnt say much about K-Series.
- 220 is with BOLT ONS ONLY! So don’t tell me about your friends that have GSRs with mugen head gaskets, nitrous, or CTR pistons…i didnt even have to open my valve cover to get this number.
I will also note that in a DA, i would go with a type r swap instead. It wouldnt be worth it in a DA. But when u compare the motors…you are wrong when u say that all they have is just the transmission.
Like i said, I agree with majority of you guys here.
I’d just like to see more K-swapped DA’s are there before I change my mind on how I feel about them in our chassis.
man speaks the truth!

first of all, i think a lot of people over estimate the cost of these swaps. i bought my USDM swap for the same price as a GSR swap. The real money comes when you have to buy mounts, and shit. But there is such a thing as a budget swap with these things. I have HASport mounts that cost me $450shipped. not too bad.
If you want a DA with the best power and the least mods, the k-series is the best option. But for me, the price of the swap wouldn’t be worth putting it in a 2500+lb car. thats why i chose to put it in my CRX instead of my DA. makes more sense. DA makes a better DD then the CRX would, and the CRX makes a more fun street car then the DA would.
Integras are fuckin :gay:
You need to chill the fuck out.
As far as the K series being better, I can’t say from personal experience, but like it was said once already, with new cars comes new technology. Ad as far as putting a K in a DA, i personally dont think it’s worth it. but that is my opinion and i am not here to further an argument.
You have to be fucking kidding right? Oh yes the K is a shit ass motor, no sense in running one. I guess if your that bias you should stick with you B and not worry about any other motors, or swaps. But, my point is, everyone in the racing world knows the K is a way better motor then the B’s. The head flows better, the ve of the motor is better, and the motor is lighter. Please, tell me why this would be not worth it? Oh and did I mention a stock k20a with bolt ons and cams can make over 200whp, something a b cannot do with just these parts. Its obvious that the owner of the car you are refering to cannot drive the car, and or the car has problems. I have personally seen stock K’s out perform b’s and h’s. Its not rocket science really.
Now as for putting one in a DA. Well its not worth putting anything into a DA if you really think about it. You are always going to spend more on the motor, no matter what kind it is, then the car is really worth. But most of us do it for fun, because we want to, not because its “worth” it to anyone else besides ourselves. I personally am putting a K24 into my 93 GSR, but its for my own reasons. And before you get all krazy on how heavy my GSR is, just know its not really a gsr anymore.
come on guy stop bunning the k, rember a k is alomost like a s2000 motor
we care about taht why?
probably because you have an LS motor.
No I mean why would we be concerned with the f22 or f20 in a DA?
did anyone mention a F22 or F20 in a DA? I think he just compared the K-Series to the F20? i don’t know why.
I don’t know why either! That’s why I was like WTF, cause no one puts them in a DA, or uses parts.
they are very nice engines though. and he was saying that k20s are almost the same thing. thats not true, but they are just as nice.
I’m putting a b-series in my integra.
I also plan on putting a K-series in something. But it won’t be an integra, and it damn sure won’t be 20 fucking years old.

thats a shame.
oh don’t worry. it’ll still be light.
it’ll be CLOSE to 20 years old. just not quite there.
