vtec turbo vs non-vtec turbo

if you’re locking the cam into it’s higher lobes then you are not running VTEC, you’re just running a high RPM cam. The key word in VTEC is variable, if you’re locking it into one cam profile it’s not variable any more, therefore it’s not VTEC…

so what is it? an LS???

show me one true ls motor in the eights & then you’ll impress me. until then, quit with your lame benchracing.

VR-BottleFedTeg: i dont think you get what im saying, the fastest cars run vtec motors. As in they’re making more power with vtec motors than non-vtec motors. So we are arent saying the same thing.

What do you mean -what is it- ? Its not vtec anymore. Why would that make it an LS. Since when is “LS” and engine code? Your an a$$.

simple fact, the fastest cars don’t use VTEC…

you know this thread has been about do vtec MOTORS make more power than non-vtec MOTORS, and the fastest cars run vtec MOTORS disable or not.

whats VTEC if you have it DISABLED?!?!!??!!?

we have been comparing a ls vs b16.

I’m comparing Vtec motors vs Vtec motors w/ Vtec disabled…thats what all the Japanese Race cars do…They use the Vtec killer cams…

you’ve been talking about something else…

:ot:

funny how people takes sides and dont really know what their positions are.

show me one true ls motor in the eights & then you’ll impress me. until then, quit with your lame benchracing.

how come no one has answered my question? did i make it too hard? can you find me an ls motor in the nines then at least???

so is a b18c not a vtec motor? vtec killer cams were mentioned above. I notice some members here are just stubborn or just want to debate.

i was just giving a example of what they were mentioning below how some cars will remove the vtec function from it.

EXACTLY, rob it is a VTEC motor, without the VTEC hence that car is very quick for having non-VTEC which the whole argument is about…:bored:

xjdm94x: what i said there wasnt towards you. Im sure you know who im referring to.

As for VR-BottleFedTeg I dont even know what your talking about anymore but

I’m done…

heh. i wont even post on there cuz i dont think im worthy. however i think its a pretty stupid thing to argue about.

the problem with the debate is they are confusing the VTEC technology with the VTEC motors. if you disable the vtec, the technology is LOST, however, the rest of the motor is still superior and thats why they will win. when people see the motors with the vtec stamp winning, they assume its because of the vtec technology as well, which was disabled.

its funny how common sense eludes even professionals at times.
