your suspension and pics

Dave22… wow that’s a nice drop for GC’s. How much of a drop is that? Did you cut any coils coz I heard GC’s aren’t that low… but yours look PERFECT!

I’m not sure how much lower it is than stock because I threw Tein S-Techs and GR2s on it the day I bought it. There wasn’t any basis for comparison when I put in the current setup.

But for reference, here’s what it looked like that first day right before we got to work:

I’m guessing it somewhere around ~4" lower than it was stock.

I definitely didn’t cut any coils. They’re all the way down and mounted on the middle perch in the front while the rears are about 3/4 of the way down and mounted on the botom perch. I could go lower but the shocks are alredy hurting as it sits. When I toss the off-the-shelf Yellows I’ll probably go down another quarter inch or so.

moreteck, what kind of front lip is that on your car ? it’s hard to tell fromthe pics but it looks like a type r style lip but different from anyone I have seen.

the lip i have is a 95 accord front lip. this is how low the front is with this lip and my coilovers all the way down
and yeah i know my car needs a paint job, but the motor work is next

Dave22 - wow I really love the look of the stockies like that! What size stockies are those and are those white walls you are using?

14" Integra steelies with 185/70/14 Goodyear Integrity white stripes.

Here’s mine…Skunk 2 Pro Full Coil overs. The ride is not very bouncy and I got them for a really great deal. I love them.

I lowered it about a quarter inch more after I got the camber kit installed and aligned. I wanna lower it more, but it’s hard to drive around daily with stock size tires.

Oh and hi Dave.

where does one get a benen rear lower tie bar? or is it some super rare impossible part to get? i’ve never heard of it before but it looks like a pretty solid piece.

Finally Lowered

on Koni Yellows and Eibach Sportlines with Ingalls front and rear camber kits. The car is used as DD with two child seats in the near, so I had to find the right balance. Seems to work well.

(I was going to wait till getting the car washed before taking pics, but few friends wanted to see the drop, so here it is.)

 :bowthank:  thanks a ton. I was looking for a clear good picture of somebody running the koni’s with the sportlines. Were these taken shortly after installation or did they sag in already??

It’s been about 3 weeks. Not sure what’s the sag in period, but I figure it might sag a tad. One thing to note, the front is lowered 1.8in. The rear is lowered probably only 1.3 - 1.4 in range, not the 1.5 in that it comes with. One notch was removed to make the wheel gap look a little more similar looking. Here’s better pics of the front and rear wheel gap. I’m also running with 205/50/15 wheels.

Hope that helps.

Helps a ton. I was so torn between the pro-kit and sportlines. Seemed to look so different from teg to teg. You basically helped me make my final decision. How would you judge the ride quality with the setup? Man to child seats in the back of a 2dr. Your a warrior :salute:

Yeah I was torn between pro-kit and sportlines for the longest time as well. I’m glad that I went with the sportlines. The ride quality can only be compared with mildly used but 150k miles teg’s stock setup (I’m the second owner of teg and got it from my brother-in-law), so take my comparison as is. In comparison, the ride is firmer so that you feel the small bumps more; however, it has a muted feel to it. You will feel the irregularity of the road that the stock might glaze over, but it has a tight rebound. It’s close to the stock feeling, but just tighter feel all around. I was worried that sportlines might be too harsh for my girls who are in the back seat, but they are fine with it. Now when you take corners you will notice the tightness of the suspension setup. Overall it gets my two thumbs up and I welcome the change.

Moretek Ive got the same wheels you do, I hated them at first but with my car dumped they actually look halfway decent. I like the accord lip and EK sides… I plan to do the same.
