what kind of muffler is that, and how loud do you think it will be?
Its a magnaflow 3" in and out. And with the 3 resonators aswell it sounds friggen awsome!!! not honda raspy loud or anything its actually pretty deep and growly. I have tried many different combinations of resonators and mufflers till i have found a pretty good setup exhaust wise…
werd. it looks good.
currently i am using an Apexi WSII muffler with one resonater, and it sounds real nice, but the muffler is like 8" tall, so it hangs down real low… yours doesnt look that low, which is what interested me so much. I’m glad you like the way it sounds. Having a nice deep growl that you enjoy is pricless!
Haha yeah my spare tire well is cut out thats why it is up higher under the car. I did that on purpose cause i dont like that you can see the muffler or so much of it under the car so i changed that the hard way…
So… I just read this whole thread and that is one nice car…
I have a couple of questions, though. Is there a reason that you did your piping that way? It looks great but extremely complicated. I don’t know much about turbos and am curious. Also, what is the possibility of that engine coming out with any ease? I would hate to have to replace anything on it!
Looks great, get a video up when you start it!!!
thanks for checking out my car and yes i may have not needed to build and pipe my car the way i did but i had to do something that you dont see in every car and i did it also because i can and l like to make complicated things sometimes hahaah… As for the motor and removal, well i built it so that it can be repaired or removed without having to dismantle the whole car to do so. I build cars for a living and my biggest gripe is cars that are engineered to be very dificult to work on. I tried to build everything in my car to make it simple to work on and also i built it to theoretically drive everyday without the issues of a high horsepower race car, but still able to take it to the track and beat it and pick up groceries on the way back…
I just gotta say, this is one of the most beautiful turbo setups I have ever seen! your attention to detail is amazing!
this is by far my favorite build you dont see anything close to this in aust. this is great youve done really well congrats so far
Two words come to my mind after 8 pages…
freaking wow!!!
HAHA thanks… yeah i have been really discouraged at work latley which in turn makes my car sit on the back burner too much… anyways i will hopefully be working on it this weekend to get all the car wiring done and the car assembled. then build my new ecu harness with the new coil on plug setup i got. Also have to pick up my new injector dynamics injectors and install them aswell… thanks for the feedback its nice to be recognized sometimes…
:bump:
I have managed to get some more wiring done now with the fender off i ran the wiring up the frame rail and modified my door harness to accept the new power folding mirror wiring and while i was there i upgraded the speaker wires in the jams so that they actually unplug with the stock plugs. Also installed my Meth pump and got my HID and Rad fan wiring done aswell… Oh yeah i got my wheels finally done and painted the way i want them now too…
very nice, looks like your almost done:rockon:
amazing!!! are u friends with a member here name tchleung? you B.C. guys build some serious DAs.
Ha ha no i am not friends with him tho i think i have met him once at a meet, I guess we just like crazy cool stuff…
me too, not many db1 making 400+whp thats clean
Built my new custom 4inch intake and got some more wiring done on the drivers side but need to now pull the dash to finish the power window wiring now too… oh well why not right?
that looks beeeuuu-tifullll, your welding and fab skills get
great fabrication work. but not feelin the muffler tip too much of an angle. but thats just my opinion
I like how you notched the intake for headlight clearance, very nice! Cant imagine how much work that intake must have taken
