What kind of radiator and fans?
those are the same fans I got off ebay. like 70-80bucks CDN not abd hehe. I have 2 10"s
raditor is OE replacement from coolradiators.com…aluminum core, but plastic tanks…I’d kill for an inexpensive all metal, but ah well. my $70 copper/brass core raditor busted last week and apparently aluminum cools way better than copper/brass, so I went with it.
and yeah the fans are from Ebay…seller is “partzfinder” I think…great guys, good prices and fast shipping…12" was about $30-35 and the 9" was $25. they kick the stock fans asses by nearly double the CFM alone.
I think I’ll be going with the Civic dual core in the future though if fitment ever becomes an issue with my next setup(if that)…has anyone dealt with these???–>

copper actually cools better than aluminum, but aluminum is lighter. design also plays a role so only take the above statement in regards to the element itself.
btw i got a yonaka ic. the core isnt as efficient as i expected, but the endtanks are nice and the overall quality is ok. the price was good. so for half the price of a fluidyne, i might be tempted to try their 2" half sized radiator even if the core is on the sucky side. in both cases im sure they are still many times better than the stock or bottom of the barrel aftermarket ones for a mid range setup.
The CRX fan was working good with no problem but I got this deal on a 96 LS fan that was brand new; I couldnt resist. Bought it and slapped it on. It bolted right up. I also bought a FAL fan and wired it with a switch underneath my stearing wheels so I can turn it on and off whenever i want. I live that bitch on all the time and the car turns off, it turns off. My car runs so nice and cold that I love it. Plus the fan is blowing air right where the filter for the turbo is
dont the bottoms go under the pants? or am i seeing things
danm! talk about old pics! lol
when does the fan switch kick in? i realized the radiator isn’t really the issue, its sitting at a light and waiting for the fan to kick in thats most important (which mine isnt at the moment).
[B]ECT SWITCH [ON: above 194F (90C)]
ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SWITCH [ON: above 226F (108C)]
Fan Control system (23-103)
When the engine oil temperature is above approximately 226F (103C) after the engine is stopped, the condenser fan starts running to cool the engine for 15 minutes.
The oil temperature switch is located behind the cylinder block and the radiator fan control module is located at the right side of the heater unit

i guess 90-91’s dont have this
does it matter what year del sol if what year should i look for
I’m glad someone brought this up…in the year I’ve had my car, I HAVE NEVER ONCE seen or heard my cooling fan come on, but yet I’ve never overheated?? now I do have the condenser fan come on for 15 minutes after I shut the car off…but man I’m so confused about this car’s cooling system its ridiculous. so with my fan setup I skipped over all that and ran shit off a switch, but I’d really like to know whats up with it the cooling system none the less!!!
again
I dont know what year but just make sure is the half size dual core; the fat one not the skiny one.
it must be del sol vtec only, or 96-00 ex auto.
dont mean to beat a dead horse but i went buy one of the local shops here today and they said that the del sol radiator would not fit and the only way to make it fit was to lean it at a angle anyone out there with a del sol radiator that fit directly in can i please have the year of the del sol
The shop is correct, the Del Sol radiator is a little taller than the stock one. You just have to work around it.
what do you mean work around it what will i have to do to make it fit if so post pics
I’ve never done it. I think you can either tilt it a little bit, or modify the lower mounts or something. Just don’t use a Del Sol radiator if you don’t have to. That’s just my personal opinion though.
word i feel you gonna order one from radiator barn best price
I just got my radiator from radiator barn in this morning, I’ll be putting it in, in about an hour. I’ll have to let you guys know how it goes.
also let me know how long it takes
